Baller Rup Posted October 29, 2011 Baller Share Posted October 29, 2011 What is the optimal rope height? I always thought it was hip height.....
clemsondave
As low as possible. Ideally, you need to find a 'pocket' that fits your anatomy. I feel like it is part of my body. Tucked in around mid thigh, but I feel a connection between my elbows, biceps and even forearms with my rib cage. Watch some video's of Andy. You will see it is tucked away in a 'pocket.' Jamie B is another great example.
Baller Rup Posted October 29, 2011 Author Baller Share Posted October 29, 2011 Thanks, I like the idea of a pocket.... What about at the boat end of the rope - does that make any difference or is it all about the handle? I often ski behind boats with outboards and I am never sure if a low (1' above the water) or high (4' or 5' above the water) tow point is better. Any thoughts?
