Baller ctsmith Posted January 8, 2012 Baller Report Posted January 8, 2012 The 1350' lake thread got me thinking. This lake might be a possibility for me. I'm a course greenhorn but I think this should work. Any thoughts?
Baller klindy Posted January 8, 2012 Baller Report Posted January 8, 2012 assuming it's deep enough basically from shore to shore that looks easily doable. I'd even consider dropping the left end of the line lower into that corner on the lower left.
Baller ctsmith Posted January 8, 2012 Author Baller Report Posted January 8, 2012 Its deep enough and clean enough (no stumps).
Baller ctsmith Posted January 8, 2012 Author Baller Report Posted January 8, 2012 It's down in a hole too, so it should be fairly protected from wind.
Baller_ Wish Posted January 9, 2012 Baller_ Report Posted January 9, 2012 Plenty of room. Shore to shore I'm at 1750 and start opposite dir of the course. We are wide at each end so it works and that looks great to me. Looks plenty wide as well.
Baller 6balls Posted January 9, 2012 Baller Report Posted January 9, 2012 Yah, golden at that length. Don't be afraid to tweak a bit diagonal...a little extra set-up helps and consider the sun angles.
Baller ctsmith Posted January 9, 2012 Author Baller Report Posted January 9, 2012 Its a farm pond in rural south Alabama.
Baller Dirt Posted January 9, 2012 Baller Report Posted January 9, 2012 Horton will agree with me that Clint pronounces rural as rhuur.
Dusty Posted January 9, 2012 Report Posted January 9, 2012 Will you have to deal with some mandatory "stand off" or whatever, distance from the dam? Even with that, it looks like you have room for a very efficient slalom course set-up.
Baller ctsmith Posted January 9, 2012 Author Baller Report Posted January 9, 2012 Horton will agree with me that Clint pronounces rural as rhuur Its a good thing Horton had Dave with him or he'd likely still be in rhuur AL. Ever seen Deliverance? :)
