@GAJ0004 - sounds like you live or ski in my "old" neck of the woods. Went to college in Erie, PA and drove 79 for two years every weekend! If only I had known there was a slalom site there......!

@GAJ0004 - I'm in central Illinois right now. Have been skiing the course here in Illinois since 2007. What about you?

I live in Ohio, but I ski on a lake in Mercer PA which is halfway between Pittsburgh and Erie. I have been skiing the course since age 16 but did not start shortening the rope until I was in my early 20's. I was lucky to have Joel McClintock's book(Whitney's uncle), and Tony Krupa's book. I taught myself to ski the course and get started in trick skiing through those books. I grew up in the north hills of Pittsburgh.

@gjohnson -- already planning my schedule a bit differently for next summer. No way I can do both State and Regionals, so I'm trying to plot it out for Regionals. Just promise me you won't be in the announcing booth when I ski!

@GAJ0004 - I grew up skiing on the Allegheny river by Freeport PA and Springdale PA. Grew up in Fox Chapel. Only till I moved out here to the midwest did I start to ski the course, but had always wanted to growing up. I thought I was goooood when I was young. HAHA, boy did I get a lesson on my first course turn!! Have been addicted ever since!

@Razorskier1 That's a great choice. The regional tournament is an amazing event, especially when compared to the state tournament. On Friday night, live music was playing out on the Bennett's patio, @bradb. You must do it.
