Cut a Wetsuit hood?

Has anyone ever cut a wetsuit hood? The reason I am asking is I have a wetsuit hood, it is nice because it helps your head warm, but it messes with my balance due to water/hood over my ear. If I cut out the ears will it continue to tare and rip until the hood is useless?

I'm bald.... I wear this one as soon as the temps start to drop. Works great, no loss of balance.

there was a baller selling these for a deal last year, I bought one and it works great, I put a small elastic drawstring in, and it never falls off

I own the hood so I think I am going to cut it out. I will let you know how it goes. If that doesnt work I think I am going to order one of the beanie's above.
