Administrators Horton Posted November 8, 2012 Administrators Share Posted November 8, 2012 Seems silly that I have to point this out but.... if you are looking for a great boat for less than retail, promo boats are the way to go. The link at the top of the page is factory promo boats only. These boats are generally better than a new boat you would get from a dealer because they are tweaked in all the right ways. Baller_ RichardDoane Posted November 9, 2012 Baller_ Share Posted November 9, 2012 @rodb - that's why I don't order my replacement until there's a sold sign on the present model. BTW, I've got a really clean MC 190,

Administrators Horton Posted November 9, 2012 Author Administrators Share Posted November 9, 2012 @Chuck_Dickey you know that Barrett is still sitting on his Promo MC. It is a lot closer than @richarddoane and it would be good for SoCal skiing if Bill moved his boat. @richarddoane love you man but have to look out for my local folks Goode ★ HO Syndicate ★ KD Skis ★ MasterCraft ★ PerfSki Radar ★ Reflex ★ S Lines ★ Stokes ★ Baller Video Coaching System Become a Supporting Member or make a One-time Donation
Baller Chuck_Dickey Posted November 9, 2012 Baller Share Posted November 9, 2012 @Horton I still have my awesome 2011 PS-197WTT that I bought from Chuck Sacks, I am more interested in buying the next MC hull revision expected in 2014. I wanted to see @richarddoane up close to check out his Bimini setup.

Baller_ RichardDoane Posted November 9, 2012 Baller_ Share Posted November 9, 2012 @chuck_dickey - the tension is held by 3 bars that run front/back ( so it's "strapless"), the little "winter window" makes a huge difference in the rainy/cold air days, my machinist buddy made little adapter spacers so we could mount the quick connect bases to the windshield frame, you'll notice that the factory bimini can still be used by attaching it to the connectors on the gelcoat

Baller Chuck_Dickey Posted November 10, 2012 Baller Share Posted November 10, 2012 @richarddoane cool. Will you build one for me? All red. I don't need the front window. Send me a message.
Baller_ RichardDoane Posted November 10, 2012 Baller_ Share Posted November 10, 2012 @chuck_dickey - Darrian @ Burien Upholstery has built them for the past 3 years, I guess he could build a duplicate, test fit it on my boat, then send it to you with the measurements for installing the adapters to the windshield. Give him a call and see if he's game, 206 243 0302 weekdays, shipping might be a killer, you might do better finding a local boat top guy in LA, and we can send him pictures and measurements
Bobbyroy
Different manufacturers have different promo programs, but basically, a promo buyer gets a new boat at near dealer cost in exchange for agreeing to bring it to a certain number of tournaments or shows per season. Harrybb
Sometimes boat dealer include safety equipment as a part of the package. You also need to register your boat. It depends upon where you are going for boating.
