Administrators Horton Posted June 12, 2013 Administrators Share Posted June 12, 2013 The speed and width is freaken crazy. Like not any ski I have ever ridden. I am not as happy from the apex to the hook up. Is a bit of a rodeo. If I could get smooth at the hookup this would be amazing. Baller KcSwerver Posted June 12, 2013 Baller Share Posted June 12, 2013 looks pretty dang good, one thing i do notice is it sounds like the ZO is working hard, compared to some of your other videos maybe? this ski, although it gets you wider and goes faster, may be making you work harder. any thoughts? Baller A_B Posted June 12, 2013 Baller Share Posted June 12, 2013 Looks like I would add a little depth. Very consistent skiing on the part of the skier!
Baller aswinter05 Posted June 12, 2013 Baller Share Posted June 12, 2013 That ski looks SWEET! Solid last pass by the way.
Supporting Member Than_Bogan Posted June 12, 2013 Supporting Member Share Posted June 12, 2013 @AB What do you see that makes you think depth? (I have no clue on this sort of thing, and am hoping to learn.)
Baller ForrestGump Posted June 12, 2013 Baller Share Posted June 12, 2013 @kcswerver That's the same thing I thought, too.
Administrators Horton Posted June 12, 2013 Author Administrators Share Posted June 12, 2013 Boots and fin have been moved all over. Next step steps are more depth, more wrong, then DFT back (or forward) Goode ★ HO Syndicate ★ KD Skis ★ MasterCraft ★ PerfSki Radar ★ Reflex ★ S Lines ★ Stokes ★ Baller Video Coaching System Drop a dime in the can
Administrators Horton Posted June 12, 2013 Author Administrators Share Posted June 12, 2013 With that much angle the ZO is going to engage. .. Baller jayski Posted June 12, 2013 Baller Share Posted June 12, 2013 @Horton, keep carving the arc with your leading hip through the finish through the turn instead of blocking, you come into the buoy in good position but you tend to drop your shoulder through the finish...just my .02 : )
Administrators Horton Posted June 12, 2013 Author Administrators Share Posted June 12, 2013 @jayski ski needs to want to rotate to do that Goode ★ HO Syndicate ★ KD Skis ★ MasterCraft ★ PerfSki Radar ★ Reflex ★ S Lines ★ Stokes ★ Baller Video Coaching System Drop a dime in the can
Baller A_B Posted June 12, 2013 Baller Share Posted June 12, 2013 @Than, 1. It looks like the ski is sliding and stalling when John is finishing the turns instead of tracking. 2. A shallow fin will let you over power it and roll up on a crazy edge, and that is what this looks like to me. 3. It looks like John is really working (and ZO) and a deeper fin will be less aggressive yet hold and carry speed, and that is just my impression from watching an isolated film. Ski is setup for PP. 4. I can mess anyone's ski up, and Horton is no exception.... I would only add a .001 or .002 depth and see if it calms down a little, yet still gets great angle and tracks around the turn to hookup. Baller Razorskier1 Posted June 12, 2013 Baller Share Posted June 12, 2013 @Horton -- dude, you look really good on that ski! It does appear to finish extremely well and develop and hold huge angle. Looks fun!
Baller Texas6 Posted June 13, 2013 Baller Share Posted June 13, 2013 Skiing looks really solid @Horton. I know this doesn't matter but Im having a hard time with the sheer size of the front of that ski. Looks like a barge but clearly looks can be deceiving
