Baller xrated Posted September 4, 2013 Baller Share Posted September 4, 2013 Just did a search looking for what everyone uses to haul gear. Lots of what's in your bag. But not so much on what bag. Not looking for ski bags, but as the wife has started to ski we now have more misc stuff to haul around. Looking for something to throw vests, gloves, tops, lube etc in. It all ends up on the picnic table or bottom of a boat but I'd liek something to keep it in when not at the lake and while traveling to the lake. Added bonus if I can throw wet stuff in after the weekend and not need a garbage bag.
Baller Not_The_Pug Posted September 4, 2013 Baller Share Posted September 4, 2013 We use the Dakine roller bags. Can put a lot of stuff in them and you can find them on sale (I heard Sierra Sports had them for like $80). They are snow ski or snowboard bags. Just pick the size. Baller Chef23 Posted September 4, 2013 Baller Share Posted September 4, 2013 I have seen a couple of people with the shopping bags you can get at Ikea for a couple of bucks. They are water proof and have a handle on them. Frankly I don't have anything and I probably should. Here is a picture if you have an Ikea around they are fifty nine cents http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/17228340/
Baller ntx Posted September 4, 2013 Baller Share Posted September 4, 2013 med size plastic laundry basket. I have seen jumpers use them a bunch. They have rope, knee braces, helmet, sling, jump suit, gloves.... all in one place.
Baller SkiJay Posted September 4, 2013 Baller Share Posted September 4, 2013 I recently changed from a mesh duffle bag to a big laundry basket. The laundry basket is faster and easier to load and unload and is well ventilated so things don't get funky/moldy when they spend a little extra time in the basket while wet I also keep a couple of the Ikea bags @Chef23 described above for guests. They work great and take up no room while not being used.

Baller skihart Posted September 4, 2013 Baller Share Posted September 4, 2013 I use a mesh scuba diving bag. Works great and has tons of ventilation for all the wet gear. Here is an example http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Armor-Scuba-Diving-Gear-Dive-Flag-Mesh-Bag-/271260638129?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f2864dbb1
Baller Skoot1123 Posted September 4, 2013 Baller Share Posted September 4, 2013 Just a mesh duffle bag for gloves, handle, and Absorber towels. Ski's are in the padded HO bags with a handle. Rope is carried with the mesh bag. Pretty light weight and keeps things together.
Baller oldjeep Posted September 4, 2013 Baller Share Posted September 4, 2013 I just keep my shortie, vest, and rope on a plastic hanger - gloves velcro to the handle of my skibag. Gets hung on the coathook in the back of the truck, which reminds me to take it out of the truck and hang the stuff up seperately in the garage. Baller A_B Posted September 4, 2013 Baller Share Posted September 4, 2013 I use a Tupperware tub, but don't put wet stuff in there. Easy to put in the truck when going to the lake and take out when not. I put some dual lock on the bottom so it doesn't slide around in the back. Joeprunc
I use a liquid force wet mesh bag. http://www.marine-products.com/liquid-force-wet-mesh-bag-2013.html?utm_medium=cse&utm_source=google&gclid=CP2G2qPGsrkCFbCDQgodWTsAng If I go meet someone I can throw my vest, towel, rope, handle, sweatshirt, water, and a lunch all in the bag, then carry my ski bag w/ gloves and soap. It has a very small dry side pocket that you can throw you keys, cell, and wallet in. If I'm taking a crew out on my boat for a cruise I can fit 4 USCG life vests the bag, and strap the rope around the outside. And best of all its a back pack, so you have two extra hands to carry what ever else you need.
