Our water never really heated up like usual, but we have had some really nice days this past couple weeks, and water temps hanging in there around 70. Skied again last night sans heater tops or shorties. Awesome!

 

The new Mapple 6.1 looked awesome on the water, too bad it's too short for me to give it a rip. My friend was rocking it.

 

Got behind the wheel of my friend's new to him promo 2013 SN, and tracked like a truck. Throttle was touchy as posted out here.

 

Great night. I might have to revise my answer in the poll on how long before our season is over.

@AB, warm weather here in KS, too! I was making the same comments yesterday when I skied, it has been a great fall! 2 more days of warm, then the bottom falls out with lows in the 30's by Sat morning. It was great while it lasted!!

Our water is still cold but the days have been great. Water is right around 60* and I have been skiing in a wetsuit top. My body is a little worn out because I am back at the gym pretty hard and it is so nice I have skied 4 of the last 5 days plus worked out. I took this morning off from the gym but it is looking too nice not to ski at lunch time.

@AB - sounds like the weather will stay put for a couple days too. Water temp is ~ 74 here in Illinois. Might get a little colder after the weekend storms though. I'll take the warm weather this time of the year though...... payback for our COLD spring.

It snowed at our lake here in Western CO last night. Had to pull the boat out and put it in the garage. Earliest I ever had to take it off the lift. Not going to winterize just yet though. Hoping for a warm up and a few more sets.

78 degree water temp today with 85 air temp, a little windy but not complaining because still skiing, can't ask for a better fall worth of skiing! Not bad for KS.

We were supposed to ski tonight too, but we got hit with rain. Probably headed your way if not already there.

Went to ski with a friend in Nyköping 70 miles south today.

Small shallow petfect ski lake.

But it was only 44 in the water and 48 in the air.

Skiing went ok. Felt a bit stif in the semidry.

Only problem was the hands.

Skied last night with 68 degree water and air in the 70s. Very nice. Lots of rain overnight. Skied today with 65 degree water and air in the upper 60s. More rain on the way. The lake is very high and rollers take a long time to settle. Should get at least another week or two.

Went skiing in PA today with my summer gear on. Water temp was 69 degrees, and the air was 70. Sunny and very humid for October.

Rain knocked us out last night and today. Sunday weather looking not so good either.

All that hot water going to waste and cooling down starting tomorrow.

Our water was up to 62* today with air at 71*. I am not sure I am going to have time to ski tomorrow and I am gone most of next week. It could be over.

We pulled the course Wednesday night and woke up to snow on Thursday morning and again on Friday. I'll be traveling the next time I want to ski.

I have the gear on stand by to sink the course on Lake Latonka. I will sink it any day starting on the 20th of October depending on the weather.

In principle, We can't pull the course when we still have to cut grass RAIN permitting. Did I say RAIN? Ending the season like we started.

I may be close to done. I was out of town this weekend for a hockey tournament with my son and I will be gone the last weekend in October. I may have to think about getting my boat out next weekend.

Skied in trunks and a life jacket yesterday. Weather in northern CO has been nice but probly the last week as the lows are starting to drop below freezing

Still too many leaves on the trees and green grass to quit, but, temps look like they are done fooling grass and leaves. .. and skiers.

After a heat wave two weeks ago we are back on a cold snap. It was 62* in my house this morning which means it was cold outside. There was still some steam coming up off the water so the water was warmer than the air at 7 this morning.
