Baller Razorskier1 Posted August 18, 2014 Baller Share Posted August 18, 2014 Sweet video! In slow motion like that it makes me wonder why we all can't just run 39 off! KC is so smooth -- for my money one of the most consistent technical skiers out there today.
Baller Skoot1123 Posted August 18, 2014 Baller Share Posted August 18, 2014 The point of view on this video is simply awesome. Great vid/tech work to get that setup just right. The skiing is simply amazing as well - to see what the skier see's @ 39.5' is very insightful. Will be replaying this over and over!
Baller schafer Posted August 18, 2014 Baller Share Posted August 18, 2014 Point of view is amazing. And boy is he smooth with mad talent.

gator1
Well that was awesome. If he is a "skier" then I am something else. Holy cats, if I got that early and wide I'd probably get so confused I'd just have a breakdown. Thanks for posting that one.
Baller rq0013 Posted August 18, 2014 Baller Share Posted August 18, 2014 I love how early he is. He so smooth with great control of the handle. He has done great things in the last year!
Baller_ RichardDoane Posted August 18, 2014 Baller_ Share Posted August 18, 2014 that MC he's skiing behind sure looks sweet.....
Baller 6balls Posted August 19, 2014 Baller Share Posted August 19, 2014 Cool. Check out how far the handle stays inside the buoy line...ski out and around...very nice pass.
Baller tjm Posted August 24, 2014 Baller Share Posted August 24, 2014 I noticed that (for the most part), the web cam follows the ski tip, which I interpret that his head is, again for the most part, always looking in the same direction as the ski is pointed. Or to say another way, the ski is always heading in the direction he is looking. Yes or No??
ToddF
I haven't ever been that early at any line length. Unless that is some kind of optical illusion.
Baller gregy Posted August 25, 2014 Baller Share Posted August 25, 2014 @tjm good observation believe your are correct.
Baller ToddL Posted August 25, 2014 Baller Share Posted August 25, 2014 @tjm, @gregy, There is definitely a correlation between the head and ski tip on the offside turns (1/3/5), but no so much at the onside (2/4/6). Onside, KC keeps his head (and likely shoulders) open and pointed down course while the ski tip comes around. Offside, he starts to rotate the head earlier, just as his max reach occurs. Supporting Member Than_Bogan Posted August 25, 2014 Supporting Member Share Posted August 25, 2014 Awesome help for me working on vision and level head. Truly eye opening how far inside the buoy line everything but the ski goes. Any chance of the full speed version as well?
Baller tjm Posted August 25, 2014 Baller Share Posted August 25, 2014 @Toddl I noticed that also, which is why I said "for the most part". All in all it helps me look at my line in an entirely new perspective. Good stuff!!

Baller SkiJay Posted August 25, 2014 Baller Share Posted August 25, 2014 Interesting that he moves then locks his head, and presumably his eyes, BEFORE rounding the ball. Terry Winter does the same thing. I started doing this at Terry's recommendation and the consistency of my turns improved dramatically. Turning your head while leaned over is not good for balance.
