  1. For consistency, couldn't one just leave the fin block attached and hang the ski from a hole in the fin? Then, it is truly like a wind chime. LOL. But seriously, that would be a less invasive, repeatable method to hold skis for a "strike" frequency measurement. However, then DFT might have an impact. 😝
  2. The video links in the original post seem to no longer be valid. Here is a link to the playlist for all three days' videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4UaxtXYGLc&list=PLEKKfDsJOLQJgfe5GwxMXfLHuJOcx4OUP
  3. I am pretty sure the pictures are gone thanks to the site upgrade, but there was a prior thread with great pictures of several methods. Here's mine: I will try to describe it without pictures... I use a very long bolt that is thread matched to the insert. I also use 2 nuts that fit on that bolt. I thread both nuts onto the long bolt higher up it than the insert depth. I then put a very small amount of Vaseline on the lower threads of the bolt as a release agent. Next, I thread the insert on to the bolt until the bolt end is flush with the bottom of the insert. Now, I take the closest nut and run it down until it makes contact with the top of the insert. Next, I run the 2nd nut down until it makes contact with the first nut. Using two wrenches or small plyers, I tighten the 2nd nut against the first. This locks the depth of the bolt. I prepare the ski hole with a light coat of epoxy. I prepare the end of the bolt with a touch of Vaseline as a release agent. Now, I can use the long bolt to screw the insert into the ski hole until it is flush with the top of the ski. I leave the whole assembly in tact while the epoxy cures fully. Once cured, I release the 2nd (top) nut using plyers and back the long bolt out of the insert. It has always worked for me.
  4. We should have hired Griffin Stange to play it live. https://www.facebook.com/ryan.gonzales.790256/posts/pfbid02fzYuvz6j55DJqo7JsV8hRbDminD1tFZdeyAehkdfDH9wM3dwwyvwiW8t8yKH1NDsl Maybe capture this video and cook it into the Day 2 video (take 3).

  6. Play at .5x speed and he sounds drunk.
  7. I was going to mention that to Kelvin, but he looked pretty tired after 2 days of camera switching. I know he has dealt with it in the past. I think he just mutes the offending audio and re-uploads the video. It might not happen for a day or two. He has to collaborate with other vendors (DJ for audio) on this webcast and they don't always ensure the site's music is excluded from the audio feed sent for the webcast.
  8. Waterskiresults.com, WSTIMS For Windows Web Scoreboard, Live Scoring, select the tournament. Upper right corner Published Results. There you will find PDF files of running orders and daily results when the scorer is able to upload them.
  9. Yes! Always positive attitude and always working judging assignments at every SCR tournament!

  11. It's all off line at the moment. The Scorers were having difficulties posting results to waterskiresults.com. AWSA web pages are back up, but there is a backlog of tournament results to post. They appear to be working in chronological order as I have seen some earlier tournaments starting to appear. I have no idea how long it will take to get to the recent and upcoming Collegiate Regionals tournament scores.
  12. You landed back at stock binding location? I am a touch back. Ski is cranking turns. I may push it up to stock and try again.
  13. I messaged you. I concur with Terry's suggestion.
  14. It's real. These volunteers are giving up their weekday evenings with family to get these tournament scores working correctly.
  15. He was describing the path for LFF. You have to reverse the diagram for RFF success.
  16. To me, speed on an early or ideal path feels slower because there is space. Speed on a late or narrow pass feels fast because there is no perception of space.
  17. Just remember this... Tournament Tech flows downhill. If it gets adopted at Worlds/Nationals, then it will quickly become a requirement for Regionals, State, and ultimately Class C local tournaments and become cost prohibitive, impact registration fees, or be elusive and thus disruptive.
