Nate vs Freddie, a CA ProAm moment

I had the pleasure of boat judging the Mens final with Chad Scott at the wheel and a combination of Kate Andrianensen and Regina running the boat video. It was great to watch the different ways the boys prepared and got the job done. Here is a story I thought some of you would appreciate. In the last pairing of Nate vs Freddie, after Freddie runs his opener...

 

Nate: "I think its time we have some H2H fun and spray Freddie"

Chad: "I can drop you right on his head"

Nate: "ok"

Me: watching Nate start to laugh as he rounded 4 ball because he was thinking about it....

Nate: drops right in on Freddie and says something we couldn't hear to which....

Freddie: "hi Mate, I just pissed right here, is it warm?"

Everyone: "HAHAHA"

Scoring: "Can I get a score and time from the boat?"

Me: "HAHAHA, sorry, it was a 6 with a 08, just having fun down here"

 

Freddie was focused on his opportunity to take out Nate but still relaxed enough to be as sharp as a tack and have fun in the moment. Freddie goes on to run a respectable 3@41 which seemed to put some pressure on Nate. But Nate is one of the most competitive people I have ever met and as many expected he stepped up and ran 41. From the boat it didnt look all that different than his 35.

It seemed all in fun to me. If you were going to do it for gamesmanship wouldn't you do it before the harder passes? I doubt Nate would do that.
