Baller Brady Posted October 2, 2014 Baller Share Posted October 2, 2014 Hey Ballers, I am planning a boys trip down to powell at the end of the month. Will be down there on my houseboat for 4 days. If any of you are interested in heading down, we could make it a BoS affair. I will have my portable course set up and we will have a couple of ski boats and my buddies G25 for "other" activities. And quite frankly, my houseboat kind of rocks! Let me know if you want to come and see the prettiest place "with water" in the world.

Baller 6balls Posted October 3, 2014 Baller Share Posted October 3, 2014 My guess is @brady's houseboat on lake powell is more than a good time. Live vicariously for me, my friends...I continue on the mend. What a fantastic offer from @brady.

Baller Marco Posted January 1, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 1, 2015 I wonder if they winterize the houseboats? We never did when we had one there back in the '90s.
Baller Marco Posted January 1, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 1, 2015 @scotchipman - The weather channel is calling for lows tonight around 10 deg at Lake Powell. Doesn't say where on Powell (probably at Wahweap), buts that's cold enough to freeze up a boat that is not a 3 seasons boat, with heated tanks, insulated water lines, etc. http://www.weather.com/weather/today/l/Lake+Powell+UT+USUT0136 -
Baller Marco Posted January 2, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 2, 2015 Good point. That's a lot of thermal mass helping to keep things at water level warmer.
Baller MichaelGoodman Posted January 3, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 3, 2015 How is the water level at Lake Powell these days?

Baller DonT Posted January 6, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 6, 2015 We always do a form of winterization on ours at Bullfrog - but since it has outboards, not a lot is required of the engines. We do drain all the waterlines - as they will freeze, top off all house batteries with distilled water, set our chargers to a low setting to maintain the charge, but not put too many amps in, etc.
Baller Marco Posted January 6, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 6, 2015 Thinking back on it, I think we did drain our water system...been so long it is hard to remember.
Baller Chef23 Posted July 24, 2016 Baller Share Posted July 24, 2016 That looks like a pretty good reason not to make it to Nationals.
