Baller jimbrake Posted April 10, 2015 Baller Share Posted April 10, 2015 Freddy has a lot of angles in his stance and stack (not criticizing, just noting). Not all lined up in a classical stack, but obviously very effective. Gives me some hope. And before anyone of you think you can use it, "Classical Stack" is already the name of my new band. Baller swc5150 Posted April 10, 2015 Baller Share Posted April 10, 2015 I was thinking the same thing. Reminds me of Terry Winter. Really dumb question potentially...is Freddy Terry's little brother?

Baller Steven_Haines Posted April 10, 2015 Baller Share Posted April 10, 2015 If that was Terrys brother, at 6' 15" tall, his mom would have some explaining to do! Lol
Baller Chef23 Posted April 10, 2015 Baller Share Posted April 10, 2015 @Wish most of the pros don't get much money from the ski companies to ride their product particularly Goode. Freddy might not have been getting much more than skis from Goode. One pro told me a few years ago it wasn't enough money to stay on a ski if there was something you skied better on. If a skier is involved in designing the skis it might be different but I don't think Goode pays much money for sponsorships.
Baller RazorRoss3 Posted April 10, 2015 Baller Share Posted April 10, 2015 Freddie is the only guy I know of who frequently skis bennetts and puts up those kind of scores. Absolutely sweet skiing. I've skied that boat too, no complaints at all.

londonskier
I've seen Freddie Winter in London, after not skiing for two weeks, jump in, in winter, in a drysuit and run 10.75 (39) off the dock, first set.!!! And he's a really nice bloke.

Baller skihard Posted April 12, 2015 Baller Share Posted April 12, 2015 Freddie is a great kid. He ski'd at our site last fall in a tournament and I was fortunate to get to meet and talk to him some. Baller mwetskier Posted April 13, 2015 Baller Share Posted April 13, 2015 the thing i take away from that video is how incredibly efficient he is at converting down course speed to cross course speed. seems like almost zero energy loss -just zip and he's screaming across toward the other side. he makes marcus look down right lazy... londonskier
You cant beat the old Powershells. I use em and they are super comfy and you can lift your heel. And you can pivot them anyway you want. What's not to like? As for safety, any setup can get you.

Baller Texas6 Posted April 20, 2015 Baller Share Posted April 20, 2015 @Cypressskier; that doesn't look or sound like Chad Scott driving in that video, unless I'm confused on what you're talking about. That two ball was ridiculous though

swerveit
my question is, historically he managed to put down monster scores, and podiums on an average 4 or 5 skis a year. What do you think he can do on the same ski for a whole season? *Cat amongst the pigeons and walk away

Baller auskier Posted April 21, 2015 Baller Share Posted April 21, 2015 with LCQ coming up very soon, there will be a number of very serious contenders looking to have a bite at 43 and make the masters. 3 at 41 wont be hard for many, winning in a field that will most likely have a higher winning score than at callaway, will be.
