Mo2204
Hey Ballers ! Since I was deciding on a ski lately I looked at both of the HO crossover models. So my question would be : what is the difference between the CX and the TX ? I guess I am just to stupid to find out myself. Thanks in advance ^^
Supporting Member Than_Bogan Posted August 21, 2015 Supporting Member Share Posted August 21, 2015 I have no clue. But WOW it's cool how many people are looking to buy a "first ski" right now!
FrankS
I think the CX is a traditional narrower ski while the TX is more of a wide ride ski probably designed for slower speeds. I would guess that the TX evolved from the HO triumph which was a pretty popular intermediate ski.
Porkfight
The TX is wider, easier to get up on, can be ridden slower, etc. It is cool to see people supporting the industry. Some wakeboarders in my group of friends are starting to convert. What's old is new again.
Mo2204
Thanks for the answers I guess I will stay with my decision of buying the CX if the Tx is just wider. It really seems like a lot of people are getting into slalom these days but that is not too strange since it is a beautiful sport ^^ @Porkfight I always prefered to ride a slalom ski over combo ski or the wakeboard although a lot of people tried to convince me to go for wakeboarding
Baller Dacon62 Posted August 21, 2015 Baller Share Posted August 21, 2015 My friend bought the CX superlite and is happy with it.

Baller ALPJr Posted August 22, 2015 Baller Share Posted August 22, 2015 One of my ski buds jumped on a '14 Superlite TX in June. He's a mens 8 skier at 30mph. He picked up almost two full passes. Was averaging 4 to 5 buoys at -28 on the Monza he'd been on for about 10 years. After 2 months on the SL TX he's consistently going to deep -35. Runs 35 about 30% of the time. I'd say it's a great ski. I checked out a SL CX which is more similar to the traditional A3 shape for higher speeds and it is also a very nice ski. Baller Garn Posted October 5, 2015 Baller Share Posted October 5, 2015 The HO website does a good job explaining the two skis. http://www.hosports.com/product.php?category=waterskis# Taking a quick look, the TX is an oversize ski where the CX looks more like a toned down version of their higher-end skis.
