Baller_ MISkier Posted November 2, 2015 Baller_ Share Posted November 2, 2015 I have to go with my fellow club member. Plus, he's on the Denali. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.
Baller Roger Posted November 2, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 2, 2015 I'm going with Jason, I've seen him get starts recently that should have been runners. His consistency at 39 gives him a lot of shots at it also.
Baller Bill22 Posted November 2, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 2, 2015 I say Joel because he seems consistently up at 3 to 5@ -41.
Baller RazorRoss3 Posted November 2, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 2, 2015 Joel is right there and he's at the right skill level at the right age where he still has a lot of running room.
Baller Moskier3ev Posted November 2, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 2, 2015 Stephen Neveau sorry if its spelled wrong. He is a beast and has a great coach in TFinn who also has a 4@41 who would be another candidate to run it. Jeff Lindsey
Baller Edbrazil Posted November 2, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 2, 2015 Make that spelling: Beauchesne.
Baller Edbrazil Posted November 2, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 2, 2015 And, also make it: Jeff Rodgers. Inducted into the Hall of Fame back in April.

Baller klindy Posted November 2, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 2, 2015 I'm going with @TFIN. And like @Moskier3ev I also like Steven Nevue. However for sure anyone else on the list can get it done.
ahopkinsTXi
Cale. Local guy and a really nice guy. KC is my second runner up.

Baller DefectiveDave Posted November 2, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 2, 2015 Gotta go with Joel. I would be stoked for him, but hearing that news wouldn't surprise me even a little.
Baller skihart Posted November 3, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 3, 2015 J Mac has a good shot at it. He has been skiing really well recently, plus he is Canuk so he gets my vote. Kc also has a good chance to run it soon.
Baller Orlando76 Posted November 3, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 3, 2015 With KC not too far behind him.
Baller Edbrazil Posted November 3, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 3, 2015 In the initial list, Ben Favret should maybe get an "almost". Boat path out of tolerance at Buoy # 2.

Baller skihard Posted November 3, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 3, 2015 Going with my bud TFin. He's getting close. Seen him ski here at out site and except for a slip of the handle at ball 5 at 39 he would have easily been challenging his Canadian record
Baller Chef23 Posted November 3, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 3, 2015 I think Joel has a good shot at it. He is pretty young, has been improving regularly and seems to have been getting to at least 3 ball regularly in tournaments. Plus he is a great coach and ambassador for the sport. Baller ToddL Posted November 3, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 3, 2015 Joel and K.C. are moving upwards at a faster pace than the others. K.C. has a bit farther to go, tho.
Baller ForrestGump Posted November 3, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 3, 2015 Big Ben's 1@43 score was still a valid score in the books, even though it wasn't approved for a share of the record at the time.
Supporting Member Than_Bogan Posted November 3, 2015 Supporting Member Share Posted November 3, 2015 I picked Cale mainly because he has more Nerd Power behind him than any of the others!

Baller ALPJr Posted November 4, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 4, 2015 Joel may be the next skier added to the list and I'm rooting for Will and Nate to run it at the worlds, then go on to break the record :)
ricski39
Congrats again to Corey! He's one of the nicest people I've ever heard of, let alone met.
Baller aupatking Posted November 6, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 6, 2015 I'm happy to see great ambassadors of the sport knocking down the top passes. Nothing but good news there. I understand boat path being out of tolerance, but don't understand why the "runoff doesn't count rule" exists. What's the thinking there? Skiers getting extra passes? Clouding the winner with possible 2nd-3rd place finishes with higher buoy count? I don't get it. Didn't JB break the world record in a runoff? Just saying, in my book T-Gas is already on the list.
Baller MattP Posted November 6, 2015 Author Baller Share Posted November 6, 2015 @aupatking from various sections of the rule book. Scores for inclusion in the ranking list cannot be obtained in a run-off of a tie. Run-offs of ties are used solely to determine placement in an event and are not used for any other purpose such as scoring overall, setting records or inclusion in ranking list. U.S. skiers may set AWSA records in international tournaments shown to meet the standards of a tournament of Record Capability. Run-offs of ties are used solely for determining placement; therefore, a run-off performance is not eligible for consideration as a record. Also if there are 3 sanctioned rounds of skiing and the tie is in the 3rd round where would that score go? Just something to think about. Since runoff scores do not go in the books sometimes the approbate judges and cameras are not running at the time of a runoff.
Baller aupatking Posted November 6, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 6, 2015 Thanks @MattP it's not so much that I don't know or understand the rule. The extra buoys not counting is the way it has to be, its just such a catch 22. You ran the pass or worse, broke a record in a record tournament, but you didn't. You can't count the buoys, so you can't count the pass. It's just ugly. The cameras not running would make sense, but are the gates and boat path not being monitored? Baller MAD11 Posted November 6, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 6, 2015 @mattp why isn't @TFIN on the list. Man I can't vote unless you get it fixed.
Baller MattP Posted November 6, 2015 Author Baller Share Posted November 6, 2015 @MAD11 The poll option only allows so many entrires (I also can't edit a poll).... TFIN does have a PB of 4@41 if memory serves me right. Vote other and do a wire in!

kstateskier
Frankly I can't believe TGas hasn't run it yet. Joel is my vote, he's been knocking on the door for awhile.
