Baller Morgan Posted November 4, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 4, 2015 Hi there ! Just giving you some news about the new waterski club in Fort Myers - Florida (www.edenskilake.com) A second slalom course has been installed to offer optimal ski conditions even when the wind comes from the west. Like the first one, it is conforming to international criteria and the buoys are regularly monitored by Ed’ Brazil, the American water ski specialist. On the eastern side of the lake, a tree-filled earth dike has been built in order to reduce the waves and ensure a smooth surface conducive to high performance. Seems they are working hard to improve even more their facilities
Baller skiboyny Posted November 7, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 7, 2015 Got a chance to visit Eden recently. Very top notch site! Arthur is very helpful and a good coach. If your anywhere near Ft. Myers you need to visit!
Baller Edbrazil Posted November 7, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 7, 2015 I supervised the survey/adjusting of the first course, but not the second. Hoping to get over there before long, when I have another project in Southern FL, such as at Chet Raley's.

Baller jhughes Posted January 11, 2016 Baller Share Posted January 11, 2016 Anybody have a contact for Eden ski lake? I've gotten no reply from emailing them or using the contact form on their site, and the phone number goes to a VM that's not set up yet so I can't even leave a VM. Baller jhughes Posted February 21, 2016 Baller Share Posted February 21, 2016 Got to check out this site while staying with the inlaws this week. It was great. We've skied everywhere and Eden did not disappoint. They have 2 courses on one lake- one on the west shore, one on the east for E/W wind protection to some degree. N/S is unprotected so you will have a decent head/tail if there is a N/S wind. We skied in pretty heavy E winds all week and it wasn't a huge factor. They are currently building a huge clubhouse and pool on the site which is really going to take this place to the next level. Right now they have a really nice dock and SN200 which is all I need. Water skis really well- I ran a PB on the 5th set of the year. We came here 3 days for a total of 8 sets or so between my wife and I and never had a problem booking a set or anything, easy peasy. Driving and coaching was good. Arthur is a younger French dude with dreads that would make MB jealous. Might not be breaking shortline records but he has a feel for the game and a coaches mind. This is important. He has a great attitude and says the "right" stuff IMO. Lots of focus on staying up with the boat, working together in the course as a team and feeling the skier in various phases of the course. Since we have inlaws near by this will be a winter training site for us from now on. Sets are reasonable at $55 and you can run 8 passes if you desire. Arthur is very patient and laid back. Sets are booked online and paid for in advance.
Baller kc Posted February 21, 2016 Baller Share Posted February 21, 2016 @jhughes thanks for your review. My son and I have sets booked at Eden March 4-7. Looking forward to experiencing it first hand.
Baller kc Posted February 21, 2016 Baller Share Posted February 21, 2016 @jhughes also what time of day did you ski? What time would wind become an issue?
Baller Orlando76 Posted February 21, 2016 Baller Share Posted February 21, 2016 Granted i don't spend a lot of time in that area but I bet N/S wind is rarely an issue. Our south winds are sparse and calm, usually only blow from north if we have a cold front passing thru. If Eden has good E/W protection like Joel says, wind shouldn't be an issue. Baller jhughes Posted February 21, 2016 Baller Share Posted February 21, 2016 Yep, what @Orlando76 said. It is not a particularly windy or wind prone area.
Baller Lars Posted February 21, 2016 Baller Share Posted February 21, 2016 @jhughes did they let your wife ride along while you skied? I ask because I'm going down there in a few weeks with the family and would love for my wife to do that.
Baller jhughes Posted February 21, 2016 Baller Share Posted February 21, 2016 @Lars for sure. No problem with people riding in the boat. Of course she also skied and was killing it!
Baller m_pags Posted February 22, 2016 Baller Share Posted February 22, 2016 I skied there a few weeks ago and also had a good experience. They are in the process of building a clubhouse as they had no changing facility when I was there. @Lars my wife road along and did not ski, just make sure you leave your flip flops at the end of the dock. :)
Baller PondTraveller Posted February 22, 2016 Baller Share Posted February 22, 2016 Great site. I was there in 2015. Arthur was a great coach. Really wanted to make sure I got/understood what he was asking from me to do. I had great water conditions with little to no wind. I loved the online booking ...it was easy and you never had to leave a message and wait for someone to call you back. Easy peasy as it was said already. I will return! FracBurner
And, at least during December, they had two Ski Nautique 200s. The second was purchased solely for redundancy. They intend not to disappointment.
