Baller jimski Posted November 8, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 8, 2015 Any where to get a couple sets in playa del Carmen
Baller skiinxs Posted November 8, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 8, 2015 No skiing down there. My recommendation is to leave the ski at home, take the ferry over to Cozumel and dive or snorkel.
Baller_ MISkier Posted November 8, 2015 Baller_ Share Posted November 8, 2015 Not a skiing option, but Xel Ha is supposedly nice. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.

popof
When in Playa you're approximately a short hour drive from Scott's Waterski cancun. (In Cancun obviously). Make sure to double confirm with him that he'll be there!! Otherwise, Kitesurfing, diving, dolphin swimming etc etc ;)
Baller_ DW Posted November 9, 2015 Baller_ Share Posted November 9, 2015 +1 on diving in Coz. Mayan ruins also a good day trip.
Baller TWB Posted November 9, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 9, 2015 I go to Cancun several times a year. Most of the time my room overlooks the lagoon with only slalom course there. I say leave the ski at home too. Even if Scott is around, conditions usually aren't that good.
Baller jimski Posted November 11, 2015 Author Baller Share Posted November 11, 2015 Thanks guys the ski will stay at home
Baller colo_skier Posted November 11, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 11, 2015 @jimski I have skied with @pq2 in the lagoon a couple of times and it was great since the water here was solid. He has access to 3 slalom courses on the lagoon and conditions were great at at least one each time. So when I go to Cancun I try to get a hold of @pq2 to set up some skiing. He is a great guy and there is a thread here on BOS about skiing in Cancun with pictures.
Baller DmaxJC_ski Posted November 11, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 11, 2015 I have to recommend going off the beaten path and eat at some of the "hole in the wall" restaurants, even a block north off 5th ave you will find cheap beer, cheap tacos etc, a great experience!
