Eagle vests

I have seen the size chart for Eagle vets and I am on the fence. Do they run pretty true to size or do they run big or small?

I my experience, they run small...they are a very tight fit. I would say if you are in between sizes....size up

They will customize the fit to your build if you call them. My cost a little more but well worth it for the perfect fit

I just went vest shopping yesterday at Performance Ski. Eagle was my first choice. Whew! They run really small. I tried an XL and I really had to suck it in to zip it up, and at that it was just too tight. The Oneill Slasher (I think Slasher) size L fit like a champ and very flexible, flexibility beyond Eagle seemed to have. I went with the Oneill. Eagle just changed hands to Masterline and I understand their stock is really really low and I suspect new things to come in a few months.

I'd go at least one size up. In the new radar vests, and my old syndicate vest, I wore large. Eagle, XL, no question. As far as flexibility goes, the Eagles use a stiffer material, but it's stiff in all the right places, and none of the wrong ones. I like my Radar and Syndicate vests, but had never loved a vest until I got my Eagle.

Runs very small resized twice and now I have to special order one

I tried them on in the store and ended up with a XL. First time I jump in the water it became clear I needed a large. They fit very tight when new and dry. They're made to fit like a wet suit would.

If you can zip an Eagle vest when it is dry even if it is really tight it is the right size. They stretch out a lot when wet.

I'd second what @Texas6 said. I've had two custom fit for me and I can't imagine even considering a different brand as well as both my Eagles fit.
