Baller savaiusini Posted June 22, 2016 Author Baller Share Posted June 22, 2016 @Tequespray the Superlites have a lighter weight PVC core and full carbon fiber layup as opposed to machined PU and fiberglass. You'll feel these skis to be livelier/snappier due to the materials and also because they ride a little higher in the water compared to the standard construction. Baller skigirl Posted June 22, 2016 Baller Share Posted June 22, 2016 @savaiusini , How did the mold change from the 2014 CX SuperLite? I have been on that and a 2011 S1. Thanks!
Baller savaiusini Posted June 22, 2016 Author Baller Share Posted June 22, 2016 @skigirl the top contours were re-designed in 2015, but the running surface has not changed since 2014. Baller OldboyII Posted July 9, 2016 Baller Share Posted July 9, 2016 Made first couple of sets on new ski. To say "it's good" means to say nothing. Water start is virtually unnoticeable - say "go!" and next second you are on the water. Wake crossing fast and easy. Rides high with tail much less sinking in the water, boat driver says that water breaks much closer to tip (comparing to my previous ski) No drag at all. Bottom coating really works. I am neither an expert nor advanced therefore cannot evaluate ski in its full capacity, but for me it is a good luck to have this ski. I'm 200, ski is 67. Nautibynature
@Bill22 I have a long way to go before I need another ski, I wonder if I should have bought a 67" instead of the 69" though.

Baller OldboyII Posted July 10, 2016 Baller Share Posted July 10, 2016 @Nautibynature I'm wrong example: 69 ski does not sit comfortably in my car, therefore I buy shorter one :D
Baller ThePantsManCan Posted July 10, 2016 Baller Share Posted July 10, 2016 Im 205 and the 69" is rockin it for me. It's so fast that I have to make my edge change waaay earlier. Turns at or before the ball at almost any speed. I'm SUPER impressed.
Baller svxwilson Posted September 3, 2016 Baller Share Posted September 3, 2016 I am 195lbs and have been curious to try my same ski (69"TX superlight) but in a 67" or a CX version. @savaiusini What are your thoughts for individuals who are on the weight edge of 2 sizes or is really close to it?
Baller savaiusini Posted September 3, 2016 Author Baller Share Posted September 3, 2016 If you are skiing 32 or 34 mph, I'd say the 67 will be just fine at that weight. Baller ESPNSkier Posted September 3, 2016 Baller Share Posted September 3, 2016 Speaking for myself, I'm a 32 mph 190lb skier and spent the last 4 or 5 years on a 69" CDX barely running 15 off. Switched to a 67" CX Superlite in late April and the difference was incredible. A much better ski to be sure but I believe the smaller size also makes it turn and hook up so much better than the old 69". Go with the 67" you will not be disappointed! Mamaskier
How is superlite cx on open water? With a little chop? I don't ski course, but like aggressive ski, ski at about 30mph. Currently have 2006 f1 and looking to upgrade
Baller savaiusini Posted May 14, 2021 Author Baller Share Posted May 14, 2021 @Mamaskier WAY more stable on open water than your F1. However, this ski has been replaced by the Syndicate Omni which has an even broader performance spectrum and a touch better than CX at lower speeds like 30mph.
