Baller igkya Posted August 24, 2016 Baller Share Posted August 24, 2016 I've used Copper Sulfate previously, but it's hard to get and the nearest place is a 1.5 hour drive away. I found a local place that can get this in a powder form, instead of the fine sand-like blue crystals. Anyone tried the powder form? if so, how'd it work, compared the crystals? bgturf
Both will work for you. The fines are faster acting. You need to get good distribution across the treated area.
Baller_ DW Posted August 24, 2016 Baller_ Share Posted August 24, 2016 Either form works, only difference will be how you apply (powder can float in air on a windy day and end up in a different spot than you expected). You can mix in a bucket then toss that in the lake as an option.
Baller igkya Posted August 24, 2016 Author Baller Share Posted August 24, 2016 @bgturf @DW Thanks for responding. @bgturf - What do you mean by "fines"? the powder version? I used a burlap sack with the sand-like crystals to distribute them, but not sure how well that would work with the powder. Good idea on use of bucket.
