Baller escmanaze Posted February 19, 2017 Baller Share Posted February 19, 2017 So my son (7) got a Lego kit for a boat and built it and played with it etc. Then he noticed something was wrong. It didn't look like Dad's. The passenger seat didn't face backwards, the engine hump wasn't right in the middle of the boat, and there wasn't a rope hooked to a center mount pylon. So he fixed it. He showed me what he had created and I thought the ballers might appreciate it.
Baller escmanaze Posted February 19, 2017 Author Baller Share Posted February 19, 2017 So I told him I was going to post the picture to show "my water-skiing forum buddies" and he decided to make a little waterskier to go along with it.

Supporting Member Than_Bogan Posted February 19, 2017 Supporting Member Share Posted February 19, 2017 FANTASTIC! Been meaning to make a Lego ski boat for years.
Baller 6balls Posted February 20, 2017 Baller Share Posted February 20, 2017 Easy to remove the back seat when not needed, and I imagine access to the motor is unparalleled...perhaps the entire unit is replaceable no service necessary.
Baller_ Wish Posted February 20, 2017 Baller_ Share Posted February 20, 2017 I like the no stretch rope...should cut down on injuries to boat crew with handle pops. Tough to toss the handle back to the skier though..ouch.
Baller RazorRoss3 Posted February 20, 2017 Baller Share Posted February 20, 2017 No stretch rope... that would be the greatest invention ever for anyone who skis with @Beastmode
Baller fu_man Posted February 20, 2017 Baller Share Posted February 20, 2017 Cool. Looks like a dual purpose tow rope/anchor chain.
Baller mwetskier Posted February 20, 2017 Baller Share Posted February 20, 2017 yeah it's cool looking but hows the 22 off wake?
Baller jjackkrash Posted February 20, 2017 Baller Share Posted February 20, 2017 Damn, I need a tandem-drive axle tow rig to pull my ski tug. My single-drive axle Duramax now seems frail, wimpy and inadequate.

Baller aupatking Posted February 22, 2017 Baller Share Posted February 22, 2017 Give the skier some credit, that water is rough for that short line.
Baller swc5150 Posted February 22, 2017 Baller Share Posted February 22, 2017 Love it! The first time I saw a ski boat was in 1984, when an MC blasted by our dock. I immediately ran up to my bedroom and built one out of Legos, and the rest is history.
