Mastercraft81SnS
So I bought a Connlley carbon V and now I need to buy bindings. I tryed to put my HO sports basis off my CX on it and they would not fit. What options do I have for bindings? I like a rear toe plate.
Baller mmosley899 Posted May 17, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 17, 2017 Do you want hardshell boots... OR soft fit boots... Mike's Overall Binding USA Water Ski Senior Judge Senior Driver Senior Tech Controller

Baller_ Wish Posted May 17, 2017 Baller_ Share Posted May 17, 2017 What does not fit? And do you like your current boot(s). There is probably an option to get them to fit. A ski change is huge. A boot changer is HUGER!! may not want to do both.
Baller bigskieridaho Posted May 17, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 17, 2017 I agree with @Wish I changed both ski and bindings and it is a rough transition. However, I like Vapors as well.
Baller unksskis Posted May 17, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 17, 2017 Vapors, or the new Connelly's to match the ski
Baller TallSkinnyGuy Posted May 17, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 17, 2017 My understanding is that the front binding plate hole pattern is the same among all ski brands. If that is correct then any front binding mounted to a standard plate should work fine. So, bindings like the HO direct connect (or whatever they're called) and Radar feather frame bindings would not work. You need a binding on a standard plate. Baller igkya Posted May 18, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 18, 2017 They make universal plates that will allow you to keep your original bindings... or, as others said, get the Radar Vapors.
Baller_ RichardDoane Posted May 20, 2017 Baller_ Share Posted May 20, 2017 +1 on the Vapors, comfort matters.

Baller ozski Posted May 21, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 21, 2017 The Radar Profile boot is also a very good option and super comfortable.
Baller_ Jody_Seal Posted May 21, 2017 Baller_ Share Posted May 21, 2017 Vapor boots the fidget factor is near nothing compared to the hard shell gizmos on the market today. also no chance of pre release!

Baller Chef23 Posted May 23, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 23, 2017 I still think you should find a way to put your old boots on your new ski for a few sets to get used to the new ski before you put new boots on the new ski. Changing ski and boots at the same time is tough for most people.
Mastercraft81SnS
I could drill the hole wider and make if fit. The last time I switched skis I also switched bindings. It was a world of difference from the rubber bindings to what ever the one on my HO I have now. I appreciate the advice. I was kind of thinking I could have two skis set up.
