Johnbrannan
Does anyone have a thought of using a Acme 442 vs the factory installed Acme 654? The 442 has a 15.5 pitch, and the 654 has a 15 pitch, otherwise the specs are the same. We use the boat primarily for slalom.
Baller dbutcher Posted June 9, 2017 Baller Share Posted June 9, 2017 I have used an Acme 422 (I think that's what you meant) on my 200 with the 5.7L 343 engine. It works, especially if you have long set ups; but it is not as peppy as the Acme 654. I personally much prefer the 654. The 422 will reduce your engine RPM's and gas consumption a little, but I still prefer the 654. I have driven a 2010 SN200 with a 422 that is sweet. But, its engine has no catalytic converters and is extra strong.
Baller bigtex2011 Posted June 9, 2017 Baller Share Posted June 9, 2017 I like the 422. It's awesome. I live in Texas so elevation isnt an issue
Baller skinut Posted June 9, 2017 Baller Share Posted June 9, 2017 At elevation the 422 struggles. I had it on my 200 6 liter finally went to a three blade due to our short set up. The new Acme worked but it is not as smooth as the 4 blade but it improved the wake.
