Old gear display

I didn't want to hijack the other thread about a wall of gear, so I started a new one. I'm looking for ideas regarding how to display old ski gear at the lake house. Looking for ideas for something simple, but decent looking, but also still reasonably priced. I'm handy, so I'm imagining building something myself. Just looking for ideas and examples of what others have done. BTW, this would be skis. Some with bindings, some without.

I'm doing a project like this too.. thinking about hanging some old skis and putting hangers on them to hang up life jackets, towels.... ideas welcomed
