Baller tlarocque Posted June 30, 2018 Baller Share Posted June 30, 2018 Was having a beer at my favorite lakeside watering hole the other day and this was tied up at the dock. Don't know a lot about these boats but this one was in stunning condition....

Baller UWSkier Posted June 30, 2018 Baller Share Posted June 30, 2018 Mike Brendel's first foray into boat making. Some great boats in their day. His fingerprints are still all over his current company. MB Sports. It's weird. You never see or even hear of MB Sports in Wisconsin but you see a few Brendellas running around. Think there's still one left on my lake in NE Wis.
Baller tlarocque Posted July 1, 2018 Author Baller Share Posted July 1, 2018 That's at Clearwater Harbor which is on the Chain O' Lakes (Taylor Lake, specifically) near Waupaca, WI. I live in San Diego but my mom grew up in Stevens Point, WI and her family had a place there. She and my stepdad have a place of their own there now. I go back every couple years. I didn't get very good pics but looking at it from head-on at water level that boat has some really pretty lines. Didn't know there was a Mike Brendel but now a couple things make sense. Thanks for that info.
Baller KRoundy Posted July 1, 2018 Baller Share Posted July 1, 2018 I think at one point Costco sold Brendella boats.
Baller ski4xtc Posted July 1, 2018 Baller Share Posted July 1, 2018 I owned one of those boats when I was in college. It was florescent pink and blue. Sweet wake at every line length. I believe I paid $14,000 for it new. The only downside was that my mom was upset with me that I owned a boat before a home. Everything ended up working out after all and I still own a boat. Baller jjackkrash Posted July 1, 2018 Baller Share Posted July 1, 2018 Chico had a couple of different Brendella's for the team's boat in the early 90s. Good times.
Baller skibug Posted July 1, 2018 Baller Share Posted July 1, 2018 In 1996 I bought a 1993 Pro Comp, black and red. It was a great 1st boat, great wakes....the essence of a slalom tug with some style.
Baller wawaskr Posted July 1, 2018 Baller Share Posted July 1, 2018 @KRoundy Pro Tour Watersports (Kirkland, WA) used to sell boats through the local Costco’s. First Ski Brendella then Calabria, once the Co changed.
Baller WBLskier Posted July 1, 2018 Baller Share Posted July 1, 2018 They used to buy mastercrafts old molds.

Members PeterAK
Cool boat! I'll be on that dock at sometime this coming weekend. We have a place on Spencer Lake and go to Clearwater Harbor for dinner most weekends we are there.

Baller tlarocque Posted July 4, 2018 Author Baller Share Posted July 4, 2018 Boat was sexy as they come. I'm going to keep my eyes open for one like that. PeterAK - have a Spotted Cow for me (can't get them outside WI)! Love that place!
Baller foxriverat Posted July 4, 2018 Baller Share Posted July 4, 2018 How bout a barefoot brendella https://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/boa/d/1995-ski-brendella-barefooter/6622763814.html
Baller Hallpass Posted July 4, 2018 Baller Share Posted July 4, 2018 @tlarocque, should be easy to find one of those in CA, where they were built. There are three on craigslist sfbayarea, right now. One is under $5K. @foxriverat, cool photos. I've seen a lot of Brendellas, but never the outboard/barefoot.
