Hey ballers,

I just upgraded my Reflex front plate with the new 840 Silvretta.

As the shape of the new legs differ from my old setup, can someone in the know please confirm if I used the correct holes for mounting the release legs to the aluminum block? Thanks in advance!

David

My experience is that as/when the toe of the boot wears and goes further forward under the front horseshoe, it creates space at the back. This causes play and the binding will actually prerelease. When this play is created, it is time to move to the forward hole to compensate.

Thanks @LOTW! That is in line with what I read on the Reflex page...

I just wasn’t so sure where to mount the legs of the new 840 release when using the older style boot.

Until I found this picture on the Reflex site...

My 750 release is at the end of its 3rd season. I had a few pre-releases lately, and it was obviously time to replace the inner parts. As the legs already started to rust and I didn’t feel comfortable opening everything up and taking it apart, to only change the spring, I just bought the new 840 release.

I Iike the fact that it is stainless.
