Deltaslayer
I have a 2008 Nautique 196 and the head unit on my Zero Off display buttons aren’t working properly,,, anyways,,, I have a new one coming and was wondering if I can just remove the old one and install the new one without any programming ? Any help or insight would be appreciated!
Baller ForrestGump Posted April 14, 2019 Baller Share Posted April 14, 2019 You're going to have to set it back up. All the logic is in the head unit.
Baller gregy Posted April 15, 2019 Baller Share Posted April 15, 2019 Unless you were able to have ZO load the software in the head you have to load it or have it done. If you give ZO a call they will email you a file. You will need the serial numbers on the back of the heads and the boat/engine info. You'll need an ECOM adapter and Aquastar software (free to download) for the computer you're using. Best if you can find someone that has the adapter and experience. It's not to difficult though. https://www.zerogps.com/zero-off-ecom-reprogramming-kit/
Baller_ Jody_Seal Posted April 15, 2019 Baller_ Share Posted April 15, 2019 @Deltaslayer If you are ordering a new head unit then order a correct three event head unit it will come ready to go Ask for Rev-S. just install. re-map and ski!! No need for any down load if you are purchasing new.
Deltaslayer
Jody,, I did order a new 3 event head unit,, it had the option of the garmin or the eci type system,,, I got the garmin,,, I had rev r downloaded into the original a while back! I wonder what version it would have? Would the “s” work still, with the garmin dual puck system?
Baller_ Jody_Seal Posted April 15, 2019 Baller_ Share Posted April 15, 2019 S as far as I know does not work with the Garman . you were probably looking at an up charge for the ECI single puck. You will get Rev R.
