That’s an interesting though tho it depends if you could pull the fin back far enough to lengthen it meaningfully and the rocker would be fixed.

I talked to Terence at LaPoint Ski Park fall of 2015. He mentioned that he was working on it way back then. It’s been 5 loooooong years.

Assume the orange cable is some sort of release linkage to pop both boots?

The cable is meant to keep both boots together on release. Basically instead of the old fogman setup where the plate would release with both boots attached this system would have the boots release and stay together with the cable.

the shell design looks great can you use them as a single and toe loop?

@jtompkins120 what is the point of that though? Its so nice having the feet free to get back onto the platform if you crash hard.

wouldn't the boots stay together assuming you don't lose a limb in your fall?

the spring has to be under the plate ARC had similar design in 1988 but we never like the final product this looks very promising IMO

@Deanoski that's why my assumption is that the Orange has to be more than a tether for the boots - what possible benefit would that provide? If however it were some form of release such that if you pulled on it the boots would release from the plate - then it would release the other boot in a crash by tugging.

@BraceMaker I think the tether is when one boot releases the other one will also by pull the tether it reduces the spring tension automatically so both boots release. never have one release and there other boot stay on. kind of like roger Tedders release system he had when your back foot came out of the kick the front would release. cool concept IMO

 

plus the boot look like a get shell also IMO

@ BraceMaker Having the bindings tethered to each other could possibly be part of the release but may just be a very simple way to cut down on flail injury to other parts of the body from the boots.
