Baller_ lpskier Posted June 26, 2022 Baller_ Share Posted June 26, 2022 Finals now between Don Ashenbrenner and Casey Contos. Don just went down with 1.5@39, leaving the door wide open. @kc Lpskier

Baller_ lpskier Posted June 26, 2022 Baller_ Share Posted June 26, 2022 Dave, skiing first, and Todd both run 35. Lpskier
Baller_ lpskier Posted June 26, 2022 Baller_ Share Posted June 26, 2022 Both run 38, with Todd’s sound effects all the way down the course (he’s a grunter). Lpskier
Baller_ lpskier Posted June 26, 2022 Baller_ Share Posted June 26, 2022 Dave has an awful one ball at 39 but still gets around two ball. Todd needs a piece of three for the win. Lpskier
Baller_ lpskier Posted June 26, 2022 Baller_ Share Posted June 26, 2022 Todd doesn’t make it to two. Dave Miller is the champion! Lpskier

Baller Andre Posted June 27, 2022 Baller Share Posted June 27, 2022 Sooooooo many great Big Dawgs skiers on Goode..... Is it that much better of other ski for older guys ? My ski finish in 16.95 but my ass is out of tolerance!
Baller skierjp Posted June 27, 2022 Baller Share Posted June 27, 2022 @Andre I think it’s more of a 34 mph thing.
Baller dave2ball Posted June 27, 2022 Baller Share Posted June 27, 2022 @Andre I was there and majority of skiers were on Goodes. The a bunch of Denial’s a couple of radars. As skier jp said goodes seem to work better for 34 skiers. It a personal thing.
Baller dave2ball Posted June 27, 2022 Baller Share Posted June 27, 2022 One thing I noticed this weekend there were only 3 skiers under age 50. Which led me to a conversation with a buddy of mine. How much longer can we continue this type to tournament out any new blood? This was my first time at this type of format and it was fun. Learned a lot had 3 rounds of record skiing with some of the best drivers. So my question is what would it take to get new skiers into this event? Baller ETskier Posted June 28, 2022 Baller Share Posted June 28, 2022 Maybe it has to do with a few really good over 35 guys still skiing well in open. I hope the WEST 55 thing keeps going.
Baller dave2ball Posted June 28, 2022 Baller Share Posted June 28, 2022 @ETskier there are some really great M3-5 skiers that get into 38 39 off and choose not to compete for what ever reason. It is competitive and fun. Well worth the experience. fact that the open skier over 35 IE pros really doesn’t change the numbers and they may have to sit for a couple of years like the Big Dawg rules not sure
Baller m_deel Posted June 28, 2022 Baller Share Posted June 28, 2022 @dave2ball Something tells me they don't just "choose" to not compete... a lot of the M3 skiers that can crush 39/41 at 34 still dabble a bit a 36. Or at least they were until they actually turned 35. That's a pretty big exclusion if you want to draw the "elite" 55k skiers.
Baller dave2ball Posted June 28, 2022 Baller Share Posted June 28, 2022 @m_deel you don’t have to be elite 55 or ex open skier to ski in these. Mid 38 and deeper could be in In the hunt. At least you get 2 record rounds and maybe a head to head challenge depending on how many skiers there are.
Baller m_deel Posted June 28, 2022 Baller Share Posted June 28, 2022 @dave2ball I totally get that you can enter the tournament at mid 38, but I also know that there are some people about to come out of M2/OM, and even some M3/OM that could make great additions. 2 years for ALL OM seems like a lot, IMO. 110 is a score of 2 at 39, 36. I totally understand 2 years for guys on the pro tour, or say your average is mid -41. As I said, all IMO. I just agree with you, it would just be nice to see some fresh faces. Baller Drago Posted June 28, 2022 Baller Share Posted June 28, 2022 A lot of m3 can crush 39 and 41??
Baller LeonL Posted June 30, 2022 Baller Share Posted June 30, 2022 Yeah @Drago , I took a look at the M3 rankings and there are only 2 skiers in the country with average greater than 2@41. Nobody crushing 41, and Corey Vaughn seems to be the only one crushing 39.
