Guest
I can’t seem to find any info online, does anyone know if the fin on the 2021 Radar Senate Alloy is fully adjustable? If not what adjustments does it have?
Baller C5Quest Posted September 25, 2021 Baller Share Posted September 25, 2021 Only adjustable forward and aft one hole. You’ll have to buy the fully adjustable fin from Radar or Performance Ski and Surf https://radarskis.com/products/pro-comp-adjustable-fin-system
Dicedme
Thanks @C5Quest, do you know if you can retrofit the adjustable fin to the alloy? Cheers
Baller Wayne Posted September 25, 2021 Baller Share Posted September 25, 2021 You can retrofit an adjustable fin. You might need to get longer screws for mounting the fin block to the ski. I cannot remember if the adjustable fin block includes the mounting screws or not. Do you have an Alloy already or are you buying a new ski? The adjustable fin is $90 and the price jump to the Graphite is $100. I’d go for the graphite over adding a fin block to the Alloy if you are buying new. Dicedme
Thanks all, i bought the alloy over the graphite as it looked more forgiving in rough open water conditions, with my only qualm being the lack of adjustable fin so having the upgrade option is awesome. Thanks @Killer but i am in Aus so may not be practical. Cheers
Baller BraceMaker Posted September 25, 2021 Baller Share Posted September 25, 2021 You can also file the holes into a slot and use tape between the slider and the ski to reduce fin depth. It doesnt have micro adjustment but you can make that fin move. add strips of electrical tape under and snug the screws back down.
Baller skialex Posted September 26, 2021 Baller Share Posted September 26, 2021 Or you can ski as is, focus on skiing and forget about adjustments at this point...
Dicedme
Thats the plan @skialex , i have never owned a ski before so was more curious for a time in the future where i am hopefully at a level to want to worry about adjustments. At this stage i just can’t wait to get my new ski and have a crack!
