Watsonville or Salinas California

I've heard reports that at least at one time there were skiers on Drew lake or Kelly lake in Watsonville. Anybody know anybody who skis there??

No lakes or courses in Salinas, Kelly Lake in Watsonville had a Slalom course several years ago, I haven't heard of anyone skiing there in many years.

Crivello BTW. Google Earth imagery 9/27/21 - I see buoys. I would imagine you have to ski eaaarrrrly there to avoid the wind. Prevailing afternoon wind at that spot would make the Santa Clara Co. WSC pond look glassy.

Ok this is a boondoggle but a buddy of mine is telling me that there is or was a lake in Hollister. Anyone know anything. I assume it is not there.

that lake was in Paicines, it hasn't been used for skiing in about 20 years.

I don't know where Paicines is but I'm still unhappy about it

I met some old timer at the bar up at lake Shasta that told me he used to ski at a lake in Hollister called Paicenes. Thought he was full of shit till I saw this thread. He said it was in the middle of am orchard and had a jump ramp.

yep. really pisses me off. that site is not far from the house, but it's dry most of the time and I don't think anybody skied there in decades.
