Baller_ swbca Posted September 18, 2022 Baller_ Share Posted September 18, 2022 This is mostly a Slalom Forum, but you have to love this . . .I bought my 2004 ProStar from a local skier Steve Nelson in Minnesota 2 years ago. He needed to update to a late model Nautique to practice for the 2021 World Tournament in Over75 Men Tricks. He bought a 2020 Promo Nautique but then the 2021 World 35+ Tournament was cancelled. He skied well in France today. As the top seed and last skier, it takes confidence to ski in your life's biggest tournament and be the only skier who "goes for it" with a higher score in the finals than in the prelims. That's something world record breaking trick skiers do. This "cold country" skier has dedication and determination. He follows the 100 degree rule. He starts skiing in a full wet suit every spring the day after 36" of Ice melts on his lake. He will practice any day (water temperature) + (air temperature) >/= 100 degrees. He started Trick Skiing at age 50 and has a full time job.Photo from a prior Newspaper article about Steve.
