Administrators Horton Posted April 27, 2023 Administrators Share Posted April 27, 2023 The Swiss Pro Tricks, in its first edition, produced a event for the ages – with high scores and great drama. Tony Lightfoot and Freddie Winter give you their first-hand take on the action in this latest episode of the TWBC Podcast. Also Freddie outlines the circumstances behind his ineligibility for this season’s Masters. Baller chaloux Posted April 27, 2023 Baller Share Posted April 27, 2023 Ok, what did I miss? What did Freddie do after judges decided no on 6 ball @39.5? Is there video anywhere? Sucks that he won't be in the Masters this year.

Baller BKistler Posted April 27, 2023 Baller Share Posted April 27, 2023 Strange that a podcast about the greatest trick event the world has ever seen somehow becomes a discussion about slalom. Just saying… 1
Baller VermontSkier Posted April 27, 2023 Baller Share Posted April 27, 2023 And what is the story with Freddie and Nautique? That didn't seem clear to me in the podcast. Freddie is my favorite pro skier and this sounds really shitty for him, huge bummer.
Baller chaloux Posted April 27, 2023 Baller Share Posted April 27, 2023 That's what I was trying to figure out. From what I can gather, in the heat of the moment he probably said something like, "are you effin stupid, I made 6 ball!" And Nautique said no masters for you. Baller VermontSkier Posted April 27, 2023 Baller Share Posted April 27, 2023 I don't want to drum up more drama or anything, but I interpreted his comments on Nautique and IWWF as Nautique trying to not allow him in events they where their boats were pulling? In an already small, niche sport, that just seems in bad taste. Kudos to Freddie for being respectful and careful with his words.
Baller Vernon Reeve Posted April 28, 2023 Baller Share Posted April 28, 2023 Freddie's emotional reactions and attempts to be respectful/political (even though it's obvious what he really thinks), are one of the best parts of watching the pro-tour. I typically fast forward just to watch him and a few others. He has the best crashes because he lays it all out there. Makes it fun to watch. And his commentary is top notch. I'm sure he draws in a lot of viewers. So to ban him because of an emotional reaction to a questionable call is not right. However, we don't really know exactly what happened, but I can't imagine he was in their face threatening them. He seems like a pretty respectful person. I will definitely miss seeing him compete.
