GT 40 Motor tripping breaker

I have a 2002 Ski 196 with a GT 40 Motor.  It keeps tripping the 15 amp breaker.  When it does trip, the motor will not start.  It turns over but will not fire up.  When I reset the breaker, the boat will run a short time, and once the breaker trips, it shuts down.  Anyone experience this problem?

Low pressure fuel pump issue. It’s old and draws too many amps. Time for new fuel pumps.

Yep, same thing happened last year with our 1999 SN w/GT 40.  Replaced both fuel pumps, FCC filter, as well as the relays, and hasn't happened since.

I wouldn't shotgun replace "both" fuel pumps and relays. It's the Low Pressure Pump, 95% probability. Start there. My HP pump is still fine and it is on season #24.
