Baller MatadorMaine Posted July 16, 2023 Baller Share Posted July 16, 2023 (edited) Ballers! What sort of premium, if any, would you put on a 2018 50th black on black PS? Wondering if folks think the 50th anniversary boats (the 25 black ones) will appreciate in value or just be valued as as "2018 black fully loaded ProStars"? I don't have any sales data to go on to see if there is any uptick compared to other loaded (non-black) 50th Prostars. Thoughts? Administrators Horton Posted July 16, 2023 Administrators Share Posted July 16, 2023 I think if you find somebody who loves a black boat it might be worth a few extra dollars or a collector but generally speaking it's a black ProStar. 2 Goode ★ HO Syndicate ★ KD Skis ★ MasterCraft ★ PerfSki Radar ★ Reflex ★ S Lines ★ Stokes ★ Baller Video Coaching System Drop a dime in the can

Baller MatadorMaine Posted July 16, 2023 Author Baller Share Posted July 16, 2023 @Horton...like @theboardingschool...TMoye looooves black boats...and towers. Anyone reading...I'm shopping wicked hard for a 2018-2020 loaded PS with a tower. That's how I stumbled on the black beauty I posted the picture of. It's #18 of 25. It's for sale on FB. Baller Mastercrafter Posted July 16, 2023 Baller Share Posted July 16, 2023 I know of a 50th that sold for mid-80s (I think) last July which was quite a premium even with last year’s high prices. The market has since tanked but someone who wants a black 50th will still probably pay good money for one. Id get the newer hull and get a better boat.

Baller Broussard Posted July 17, 2023 Baller Share Posted July 17, 2023 Anniversary boats tend to carry a premium, that being said it is hard to tell with the 50th as so few have transacted on the second hand market. In 20 years it will likely be worth substantially more than a regular 2018 ProStar, right now, probably not. 1 .
Baller swc5150 Posted July 17, 2023 Baller Share Posted July 17, 2023 I don't see it worth anything more than a black Prostar. Other than maybe the '93 S&S commanding a couple of extra bucks when really clean and with an LT1, the other special edition Prostars don't bring anything additional ('88 Platinum, '90 PS Limited, 25th Anniversary PS, '98 30th, etc.)
Baller tjs1295 Posted July 17, 2023 Baller Share Posted July 17, 2023 There’s a Silver Nautique one lake over from me. I’d pay extra for that boat. Not sure I would for this ProStar.
Baller Broussard Posted July 17, 2023 Baller Share Posted July 17, 2023 (edited) @swc5150 MasterCraft produced too many '88 Platinum ProStar (200 units) and '98 30th Anniversary (hundreds). Scarcity principle is nullified. 25th Limiteds have commanded a premium on the secondhand market. Edited July 17, 2023 by Broussard 1 .
Baller Hockdog Posted July 18, 2023 Baller Share Posted July 18, 2023 It’s 108° here, a black on black boat does not sound comfortable now…..
Baller swc5150 Posted July 18, 2023 Baller Share Posted July 18, 2023 I'd go for the updated PS hull vs paying a premium for the 50th FWIW.
