Nationals Role Call

Me and Bill will be down there with plenty of gear and some skis...but wanted to see who all from the forum is actually going to nationals / skiing / hanging out?

My wife and I will both be skiing. Plan on staying for 3 days and doing some judging.

I was going to have another 4-pack of tallboy IPA's for only me to drink while we pontificate about life, waterskiing and solving the worlds problems while sitting in the bleachers watching Mens 3 and Mens 4. Don't forget to bring your quarters to gamble or wager on skiers passes, high scores, failures, buoy's they will fall at and win-place-show.  It's an annual tradition.  You won't be too sick to go to Hawaii the following week will you??

I wish it was like Worlds were I could see the skiing from the booth...I would bring plenty of quarters then lol

@mike_mapple to bad they don’t move the vendors down to the middle of the main where they put the food vendors. Parking is right there and they wouldn’t flip out for people driving in the  grass. But, I guess that’s the way it’s always been!!!

Waters around 88-90 now. Tad on the warm side but ski sits nicely and its a bit sticky but still swings out.

If you are skiing after 2pm, bring a poncho, goggles and patience. 

At one point we had 12+ boats today.

Sorry to hear that John! I just got home Friday, after a week’s hospital stay. No timeline for return to skiing, so no nationals for me either. Guess we should have sprung for the extended warranty!

Live scoring has been off all day.  I was following B5 and it has shown the same score for hours.  Missing several skiers.

Had to start B3 (maybe) this morning and it pushed it all back.

@SCoke. Just know what I saw.  I was texting with one of the B5 parents and she was seeing the same thing as I was seeing.

She actually sent me of photo of results from the facilty well before the live scoring was updated.

B5 is now complete on live scoring.

hadnt been on site, besides driving by and watching the zoo from afar etc

headed down to seminole cocunut creek casino. They've got 2x points on players cards for black jack tonight. come join me!

looking at the radar: this is a legit bad one, 3 hours plus and lightning. 
 

driving by now and it’s bad. Main is 1 notch short of white caps. 
 

might go to the kennel club instead  as they have 3 card monte.

 

main lake is going to be “busy”  water for the next two days fyi.

looks like 4 hours of skiers didn’t get on the water today.

We have had to alter the schedule for Friday, Aug. 11, 2023. Please note this change affects ALL age groups in ALL events for Friday. We apologize for the late notice, but this is the best we can do to ensure all nationals rides happen for all of our skiers. Practice also will be suspended on the practice lake until the 55K qualifying round has been completed in the morning (probably around noon). Thank you all for understanding and cooperation in these challenging conditions.
