Disappointing that Charlie Ross skied with no commentary.  Not sure what happened there.  It would be helpful if the speed and line length would show up on the screen so we could at least know what's going on.  I guess TWBC has us spoiled.

@Luv2Ski

 I think all the kids slalom again. The format is cumulative score across two rounds with no elimination.

I'm not sure if I like that format or not, but it does create an interesting situation where Lucas is going into the finals with a six buoy advantage. He pretty much has to lose his mind to not win the event. On the other hand, it is the Yarra

Somebody will correct me if I have that wrong.

@Horton If you have an Apple TV device, you can download the Livestream App and search for Moomba.  That works best.  I have also been able to mirror my iPhone screen to the Apple TV and Roku, that's not full screen, but has a black bar all the way around the picture.

What is the mens and women "slalom challenge" scheduled for later today?   Is it a consolation round?

Neilly’s trick run looked slower and perhaps cautious than others I have seen.  Maybe water conditions were bad enough to go for the lay up, but I don’t know enough about tricks to know if those passes had some no credits due to the judges.

I just saw Return to Baseline report that Jacinta Carroll is retiring from professional skiing after winning women's jumping at Moomba for the 11th time.  What she has accomplished over her career is really amazing.  First woman to jump 200' and a winning streak that's longer than 10 years.  Wow!

Jacinta Carroll is a former professional water skier, five-time World Record holder, and five-time World Champion. Carroll was the first woman to jump 200 feet, with a 201 foot jump (61.3 m) at the 2021 MasterCraft Pro in Polk City, Florida.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacinta_Carroll

she's clearly on the short list of greatest athletes in the history of the sport

@Horton  Her accomplishments truly do put her on a short list of greatest athletes in the history of waterskiing.

5 world records, 5 time world champion, 7 times Masters champion and 11 times Moomba champion but I think her undefeated streak from 2013 until retirement in 2024 is what is especially compelling.

@Cooper_Trelawney

This might not be a popular thing to say, but during a lot of her winning streak, the field was a little thin. Maybe another way to think about it was she was so far ahead of the rest of the field that it looked thin. Anyway you slice it she is certainly the GOAT of women's jump

@Horton yeah, I get your point about a thinner field of ladies jumpers but think about the consistency.  No off days, no bad timing, no missing her kick 3 jumps in a row, and no mega crashes that she couldn't recover from.   All on a variety of sites, conditions and continents.  Just tournament after tournament in 1st place.  She was competing with herself and still winning.
