  1. One more question then. Any reason they make these out of rubber/plastic? Seems like a natural solution would be to weave a tight net in the opening - think basketball net only smaller holes.
  2. Had to google it to see what an arm guard even was. Found this one: http://www.jagersport.com/product_info.php?cPath=89&products_id=245 Does this Thomas Wayne have a website?
  3. OK - intuition must be selling a pair for $176 (since there is no right/left choice), so the FM's compare at $130. Still a pretty good discount over direct. The snow ski stuff sells for about the same price direct or through a reseller.
  4. @Waternut - could be a version made just for FM, although its interesting that they can sell them as just a bare liner for a price that low. Intuition does the same sort of thing with Scarpa and a few other downhill boot mfg - a private label liner that is some version of the available liners.
  5. @Chef23 you can buy them direct. Nobody around here stocks their snow ski liners, so I just order them right from the source. Although if they are getting the intuition liners for $65 somewhere then that is $111 under list https://intuitionliners.com/the-liners/aqua/
  6. Might also try contacting BOA - they were very helpful and sent parts when my sons snowboard boots had a cable issue. http://www.boatechnology.com/
  7. @ToddF - I love it. I've got a chair by my fire pit like that made out of old downhill skis.
  8. It sounds like my FIL's ski buddy will be getting rid of his 2012 promo and getting a 2014. I look forward to seeing how the wake is at 28-30 (unless I get a lot better), because the 2012 wake is pretty bad compared to an LXI wake at that speed. The ski racks and rear seats are probabally the coolest looking feature of the boat to me.
  9. Since when is dirt bike/sledding a sport? (ducking)
  10. I should start cleaning the stuff out, mostly it is toys that seemed interesting briefly, but also a large collection of kids life jackets that have been outgrown.
  11. On the off chance someone bought a ski and pulled one of these off. Looking for another 2012/2013 connelly sidewinder front boot. The 2012/2013 are black and have a fabric lining (2011 is white with neoprene inside)
  12. @Jordan In MN ice hockey runs 12 months a year. That was the one sport that they were never allowed to even think about ;) I've got friends who seem to spend every waking moment driving to a tournament somewhere.
  13. @eleeski Seems like a 4.3L would be the natural V6 to use since it share so much in common with the 5.7 and there are plenty of marine versions available. Although I doubt that there is much more than a 100lb difference between the 2
  14. Thankfully one of the 2 that still lives at home has a car. But with Cross country practice and soccer practice being just about every day from mid Aug on, we have to sneak in our boating trips when we can. Luckily my FIL likes to ski at 7AM, which is well before any of the days activities start.
  15. 10 min to minnetonka where we free ski and about 30 minutes to Prior Lake where the course is. Not too bad. There are 1/2 a dozen lakes within 15 minutes of the house that we could use. Or for the big trips 90 minutes to my folks place on the lake in WI
  16. Might be worth looking into D3o armor inserts. My GS racing suit uses D3o inserts and they work very well, the stuff is a gel that stiffens up when impacted - although I think it is more designed for a sharp impact than something more spread out like hitting the water. Otherwise, I think that Radars X vest seems to provide me a lot of protection when hitting the water. It isn't super thick but is uscg and has more padding than a comp vest.
  17. RE: Combo Bindings are awful We've got a set of HO combos with sandal type bindings (HO Helix), comfortable easy to get into and they fit everything from a womens 6 to a mens 14. Great thing to have around for the random person who comes out with us.

  19. Are those rocks in the video? Wow, I thought geese were bad enough
  20. @XR6Hurricane That is certainly true - I've wished many times for some loops or tabs on the tops of the finger ends to make them a little quicker to remove, but that is the trade off with the 3/4's
  21. Accurate World Cup 3/4 finger are the ones that I've gotten attached to. Nothing fancy but they stay together and I can't stand gloves with finger tips since I can't get gloves long enough to fit my fingers in without them being huge in the palm. @Mrs_MS - my wife loves hers, got them as replacements for a previous year pair that fell apart the first time out. The new ones have worked well for her.
  22. @MattP - Business runs on Microsoft products ;) Don't get too many companies that will allow the various hippieware browsers on work machines. Generally I don't see too many problems, even with older versions of IE - although radars site has a weird issue with IE10
  23. @skibug what browser are you using? I notice that the IE8 (obsolete) that they have on my work computer is not allowing the site to get to the scores page, but it was working fine from IE 10
  24. I took your advice this morning and removed the wing. It really did seem to make a difference in the way it felt. I was able to hit all 6 twice (28MPH @15 off). It was only my second day in the course this year so I was pretty happy with that result. With any luck I'll get to try again next Tuesday.
