  1. I saw yours on ski it again. If it was a 67. I would have bought it. Thank you though.
  2. Well I wanted the c but ended up with a regular 67 senate. Couldn't pass up the deal. And should be fine for the level Im at. New 2013 double vector bindings $375 shipped. The radar web sites not running. Want to check the skis stock settings when it comes in this week. Do these sound right. 29.25 0.86 6.845 2.49 8 head
  3. Thanks again andjules. that really helps. I have also read here. That its easier to make a long ski to ski shorter than a short ski to ski longer by adjusting the fin.
  4. Thanks Mark. Did find many reviews on the s2 that were good. Not many on the s1. That's why I asked. Through all of my research. Which I do a lot of before I ask a question. The consensus on a 34 mph ski seems to be the senate c. The only thing concerning me is the size issue. Seems every maker of 34 mph skis that only come in 65 67 and 69 recommend a 67 for me on there sizing charts. 5.7 165 lbs 34 mph. I have been told the 67 is too long for me. My original question asked at my level what are the pros and cons of 65 67 senate c or 66 34 mph ski. To help me progress and or grow into. Money is also a big factor for me. As I don't have a lot of extra pennies to spend. That is why I am looking at the end of the year where I am finding some great deals. Just need help deciding on size. I just found a 2013 new 65 senate c badly blemished for $299 shipped. If I knew for sure the 65 was right for me. I would buy it right now. Thanks for any advice you can give.
  5. Sure would be nice to demo them. Any suggestions around here to do that?
  6. And the 65 seems to small. That's why I was wondering about the 66 syndicate s1
  7. Yes tjm I ski the fox in st Charles. I have my boat on a lift at my friends hse. I am just kind of leary about going down to a 65 or up to a 67 what would be better for me to progress? I have found the 2013 senate c as cheep as $449 shipped
  8. Thanks tjm. But I believe the strada is above my skill level. And with not having the surface area of the wider senate. I think the 65 would be too short for me.
  9. Been looking to upgrade my old 66 kd 7000 which when I bought years ago had no idea what I was doing and it probably was too much of a ski for me. Took about 8 years off skiing and got back into it this year. Picked up a 96 supra ts6m comp ho gt40. I am 53 5.7 165 athletic build. Skiing at 15 off now 34 mph cant get through the course yet. but getting close. Plan on getting some lessons in spring before our season starts next year. So I have been researching 34mph skis and watching skiitagain Ebay to find a good deal. I hear a lot of good things about the senate c. But being inbetween sizes I don't know if I should go with a 65 or 67 or if I want to. Or find a 34 mph ski in a 66. I saw a 2011new 66 syndicate s1 on ebay for $399 cant find too many owner reviews on the ski. Anyone have an opinion. Also what would be the pros and cons of skiing on the 65 or 67 at my size?
  10. Being torn on having to chose between a 65 or 67 senate I started researching 34 mph skis that come in a 66 I just found on ebay a 2011 new 66 HO syndicate s1 blank $399 or best offer. $24 shipping. Which seems like a good price. Had 7 available. From reviews I have found seems like it would be a good ski for me. Found reviews here on the s2 but none on the s1. Any opinions on this ski
  11. Thanks andjules. I missed out on them too. After 2nd email they finally replied they were sold. So you think at the longer line length the 67 would be better? After being on a 66 kd 7000 and going to a 67 senate I was thinking it would feel like a boat. The 65 senate c is supposed to have as much surface area as my 66. So I could imagine how much the 67 would have. How do you like the s2? With the season coming to an end here in Illinois. I think I will leave my options open on a 34 mph ski. That way I will have till next season to find a killer deal. I will start looking up comparisons on 34 mph skis
  12. My feet tend to be wide at the balls of feet and narrow at heel. I hear the rs1 (stradas) tend to slip in the heel. So vectors should be a better choice for me. Also being 5.7 165 to 170 muscular wondering which length would be better 65 or 67 senate c My kd is 66. Chris Sullivan from radar emailed me and said Im inbetween sizes and could go either way. Said the 67 would give longer radius turns. And the 65 shorter quicker turns and I could use my strength more which I might like.
  13. Thanks for the help guys. So do you feel the rs1 binding is a better option then the vector room 38 I would love to have more comfort. The old advantage rear highwrap kills my foot after a little while. I like the idea of being able to rotate back binding as my toes point outward when I walk and I wear out the outsides of the heels on my shoes. It was recommended to me to angle the rear binding.
  14. Hi guys. My first post here. Started getting more serious about slaloming this year. I have been on a 1999 kd 7000 66 with advantage highwraps for years. I am a very young 53 years old 5.7 170 muscular build. As of now skiing 15 off 32 mph not running the course yet. But hoping to soon. Want to upgrade ski and have decided on the 67 radar senate c found a good deal on a 2013 67 blem senate c. Also found a good deal on new 2008 rs1bindings and a sequence plate N. Would these bindings fit the senate? They did not specify if they were for LFF or RFF or would the vector room 38 bindings that they usually offer with the senate be a better choice. The rs1 which I believe is now the strada binding looks to be a much more comfortable binding. Thanks for your input.
