  1. @mkerzie‌ I would totally offer you a ride, but I won't be there on Saturday I got stuck going to a wedding! @Horton‌ will point you in someone's direction for sure! Enjoy skiing out there it's stellar!
  2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twcwUB8afNg&feature=youtu.be This is 38 off on memorial day weekend, this is also the Lake that the free Pacific Slalom Clinic will be held on with the Wilson Bros demoing Radar Skis on June 27th so hurry and sign up!
  3. I actually happen to have a video of myself at 38 off from above, kind of cool to see if there's comparison @gator1‌
  4. I will definitely say I got this speech in the winter from @Horton‌ when we skiing year round in Bako cuz I was running down the line every time. At that time I didn't agree with it fully, but now that my skiing is where it is, this is a must in my training. So I thank @Horton‌ for that for sure.
  5. @newb‌ when I made the jump a while back from boys 2 to 3, it freaked me out too. After 10 sets or or so you won't even think about it, you just have to think, now that the boat is going faster the less work you have to do behind the boat. The boat does all the work for you, everything you do in the course must happen just a little bit faster. Mostly meaning the edge change. Things like the gate will come to you, it will take some getting used to with the timing and how the ski reacts at a faster speed.
  6. I use a intitution liner, and then the normal buckles!
  7. Hahaha I was gonna say, you were like ehhhhh forget the instructions hahah @Horton‌
  8. This past weekend I had the opportunity to ski with @Horton‌ at his new house on Precision Ranch in Arvin, CA with his 2014 Centurion Carbon Pro, mostly cuz he needed a driver haha and I'm close by being a neighbor at one of the lakes next door. Anyway, the boat is absolutely incredible to ski behind, it is one of the few boats where you don't even think about the wake, cuz there is nothing there not even a bump. In the past few years centurion has made there wake better then it was before which I didn't think was possible! The boat drives amazing and tracks like it's on a rail, only having to make small corrections in the course, and the 6.0 liter has tons of power and catches speed very quickly. As well as the new boat the new lake skis awesome if you have the chance to ski there take it. It will always be a treat to ski there thanks again @Horton‌ I'll be over there a lot this summer!!
  9. Make sure you have a great gate, once you hit 35 off, you have to make sure your gate is wide, and you don't load too soon, if you do, you find yourself flying into one ball. On your gate, staying on the front of your ski, your turn in should be from a wide point up on the boat into the white wash, but the turn in is only creating angle, once you get to the white wash, you then load the rope (which should only be behind the boat) you will find yourself wider, and not as fast into one ball, because the time you have spent loading the rope has decreased. What you do in your gate translate into the course, wide gate=wide in the course, narrow gate=narrow in the course. Another big thing is confidence, once you know you can do it, you can.
  10. @6balls hahahha thanks I really appreciate it!! Definitely will go at it and see what happens!
  11. My name is Cole Giacopuzzi, 20 years young and currently work as an insurance broker with my dad at his business. I live in a suburb of Los Angeles, CA. Started skiing when I was 5 years old in Newberry Springs at Great Lakes. My family and 5 or 6 others would rent the lake for the weekend and bring a couple of boats have a blast. in 01 we bought into Creekside Lake in Arvin, CA (By Hortons lake). I've always been super passionate about skiing and want to go as far as I can in the sport. In the past year I've gotten close with the Arvin tourney guys, and we all bum rides off of each other. We help each other as much as we can and its an awesome feeling and a great time skiing with people who love the sport as much as you do. Definitely want to burst out in 2014 and knock down the holy grail of line lengths...39.5. 13. @Andre Go to www.swissskischool.com go under accommodations and pick a villa that sounds good to you, then go under gallery and you can see pictures, and I think there is a tab for prices on there, and if it doesn't tell you, you can call, they would be happy to tell you.
  14. @Peebs that's awesome to hear!! Do they already have 2014 200's there?!
  15. @rodecon thanks!!! And yeah maybe in the future ill meet u! Dang sounds like a great triP Though!! Definitely sounds like an awesome place, excited to be there soon!! I know there's a lot of changes coming to it.
  16. @captwolffman there is always a slalom course in mission bay and it is public, you just have to go get a permit from onr of the lifeguard towers and there free. They only give out 4 in the morning, and 4 in the afternoon. That's how it used to be anyway. I know they have a collegiate tourney down there in mission bay, but not any awsa tourneys that I can think of, but might.
  17. @rodecon Swiss is getting a makeover on docks, some buildings and etc.. the waterski part of it is still in the same hands as it was before under Clint Stadlbaur who is very dedicated and enthaustic about it. I found out a few days ago I will be coaching and skiing there for 2 months from late March to mid May, and have a little bit of knowledge of whats going on. Very excited and hope you and your family have a great time there.
