  1. Yes exactly like @SkiJay‌ said! You have o drive it foward! From the second wake when your initiating the preturn, start driving that knee forward, you will carry much more speed through the turn and feel way more balanced. @Chris Taylor‌
  2. @Chris Taylor‌ What you do in the beginning of the turn translate to the finish! If your on the tail in your preturn you'll come out of the finish on the turn on tail. Really think about bending that front knee and pushing the tip of the ski down and it will initiate the turn better and you will come out of the finish of the turn more balanced and with more speed.
  3. @tony you are definitely on the right ski, like Horton said 67 is perfect for you!
  4. Everybody is guilty of this at one time or another! There's two tricks I use and share wth people that I feel hell a lot. 1. When your at the apex of the turn and your arm with the handle is fully extended, think about planting it like a ski pole and skiing back around it to it. So it never moves only your lower body. 2. Another Little visual trick is to actually use your peripheral vision and wait for the ski to cross under the rope and when you see that you know you can pull. Hope this helps! @cragginshred‌
  5. Definitely want to increase your endurance, go to the gym 3-4 times a week for an hour, 30min weight lifting the other cardio. Work on your back, legs and especially the core. For cardio try the bike, treadmill and my favorite the stair master, by far the best thing for cardio. It will help you last longer in sets to make them more productive, as @Than_Bogan‌ said your hands will give you trouble, If you get blisters, try putting lemon on it, hurts like heck, but will speed the processing of healing.
  6. Why do we ski? Curious to hear everyone's individual reason. I know for me I get lost in it, something that I love to do that steps me out of the real world and into a place of pure fun, almost like a drug, it's addicting. Whether someone runs the course for the first time or runs 39.5 off, that feeling after you do it just never goes away and sticks in the back of your mind all the time, and it's about refining your craft from that point on.
  7. I would say go to two different places in your 5 days. Most ski schools have more than one coachs, so you can get a variety at one place. You won't want to go to go to too many places, as by the end of the week you'll l be burned out, you do a lot of skiing at a ski school. Good luck and hope this helps. Have fun! @BrennanKMN‌
  8. @brooks‌ Probably one of the most down to earth guys I have ever met, him and his brother are great, they don't just help you but get totally stoked for you. If anyone ever gets a chance to ski with one of them or both, do it. They are the future, they have a great eye and know how to set the skis up. They are awesome for radar and they got me to switch, and it only got better from there! Excited to get to know them more in the future!
  9. Great shots @Dirt‌ thanks for the photos!!!
  10. @wolfeie @Horton On Friday 2 of us took 1 ride each. There were four of us that skied Saturday and sunday, and each skied 3 times.
  11. Dude like I'm going! I will definitely see you there.
  12. @Horton‌ more pictures to come tomorrow!! Boat skis amazing, super smooth and drives awesome!!!
  13. Like @thager‌ said the vapor is a very stable and definitely one of the most forgiving skis on the market! I'm switching to it from a nano one, and what a difference they are! I'm do stoked to see where it takes me, it makes you a better skier! @Waternut‌
  14. This is a normal set for me 36/32 36/35 36/38 36/39.5 (money pass) Most importantly, people will tell you lots of different things, but at the end of the day do what feels more comfortable and what feels will make you a better skier!
  15. @Stevie Boy‌ I think I can help with this question. As we get to our harder passes, we think we need to pull harder but, actually its the opposite. When the rope gets shorter, it does all the work, which means the less you have to do. Keep in mind its not speed that gets you there, but angle. Next time you get to your hardest pass, don't think about pulling but simply leaning away resisting the pull of the boat.
  16. @Ilivetoski‌ usually they say your hardest pass should be your 4th pass!

  18. Most skis feel and ski the best in 68-78 degree water, once it goes into the 80s and above, it feels like they don't want to work as well, its pretty true for most skis out there!
  19. Great year so far, can't wait for the second half of the season, running 5 @39.5 in the end of June then running 4.5 last weekend! Super stoked to see what's to come! Maybe even a ski change!
  20. Congrats @rawly‌ same year as my boat!!! That thing is awesome looking!! Gotta come over and catch a ride when you get it!
  21. @eddie_roberts_jr‌ sooo awesome! Definitely jumping on it after getting to try it with Brooks and KC, such an amazing ski! KC had the blue one and it looked stellar!
  22. Thanks Chuck!!! Appreciate it! Correction 4 @ 41 KC ran behind your boat, incredible to watch from the passenger seat @Chuck_Dickey‌
  23. As @Chuck_Dickey‌ said a lot of people skied great behind it including myself, I had driven a different one last summer, but didn't get to ski behind the new prostar until this past weekend, first set behind it ever and broke my PB! It also drove extremely nice, super smooth down the course and no need for a lot of corrections!! Such a great boat so glad we could have it at Creekside for the Pacific Slalom Clinic thanks again Chuck!
  24. @chrisrossi‌ I had the opportunity to host the pacific slalom clinic who is owned by Steve Cesnauskas who I have gotten close with in the last 2 years and had the idea to hose The clinic at my lake in Bakersfield, CA for radar skis WIth KC and Brooks Wilson, who were awesome to ski with, I broke my PB with them my first set and got to try the vapor the second set and came within 2 buoys of my PB on it and ran 3 @ 39 first time on it, such an effortless ski to ski on and everything felt easier, definitely gonna make some tweaks I think and get on it see where it can take me. Overall awesome ski you guys created, so lucky to have the opportunity to try it with the wilson brothers in the boat!
