  1. Hi Gang, Anybody ski both skis that can share some insight? Thanks, Matt
  2. @Horton @Fwinter Must be a British thing...
  3. @Horton @Fwinter Hahaha. Agree whole heartedly, there is something a little off with Hamilton and his fan base..
  4. I've got one. Boris laid up a softer ski for me as I'm a intermediate skiier at best. Coming from a a Goode 9900 mid which I was struggling with on toe side (to say the least), it was like night and day. All stock settings with Wiley's boot and rtp. Have not found an area where the ski is holding me back, love it! I've had to look after the fin settings as they tend to drift more so than with the Goode, but that's not a deal killer.
  5. @Higleyskier Many, many, many hours of muscle memory formed on the Quest perhaps.?.?.
  6. Had the same boat back in the day. Best slalom wake of the era and still great today.
  7. Sure thing, its low octane "95" basically for rec vehicles.
  8. This is a nice option if you don't mind the expense. Distributors will deliver. Sunoco Optima
  9. No way @LakeOneSkier, I love that ski. You need one too.
  10. Cool. And here I had the understanging that you're still a kid...
  11. Is @Horton ever going to start reviewing equipment again?? At least I miss you man...
  12. How do see you where you are going driving that tug? A little bit of bow rise eh...
  13. Never tried Animals, but I'm on Wiley's pro build with rtp. Pro build has thicker rubber and more support than the stanard pro series. I'm liking the setup.
  14. Gave up double boot in 1988, havent looked back since.
  15. Welcome to Chicagoland!! The Liquid Edge in Farmer City is great. 2 Slalom courses, brand new Pro Star tug, brand new wakeboard boat, cable park, very friendly staff and online reservation system so you can watch the weather then reserve a time. Just over 2 hrs south of Chicago. theliquidedge.com
  16. @Bruce_Butterfield Thanks, sounds like what I got will suite me fine.
  17. @Bruce_Butterfield Just received a pro build binding for my new ski. Now I'm wondering if I should have got the trick wrap... How much more support is there on the trick wrap? How about comfort and ease of putting on?
  18. @Than_Bogan Making an attempt to understand weight placement and rope load is pretty much it.. Just some of the areas where I believe more understanding will help me. @Horton covered the weight placement "as far forward as you can manage". How about rope load/pull John?
  19. Hi Gang, I need some help pros on breaking down some principals on slalom turns. Please excuse my layman break down of the phases. In a perfect world, what would be best practice for % weight on your front foot through the different phases in a turn? 1. Coming out of the ball: 2. Approaching the 1st wake: 3. Crossing the 1st wake: 4. Behind the boat: 5. Approaching 2nd wake: 6. Crossing 2nd wake: 7. Edge Change: 8. Turn In: 9. Apex: Using the same format, what would be best practice for % rope weight/pull through the different phases of a slalom turn with 100% being max (not maximum amount your capable of pulling, but rather the max of what you should pull)? 1. Coming out of the ball: 2. Approaching the 1st wake: 3. Crossing the 1st wake: 4. Behind the boat: 5. Approaching 2nd wake: 6. Crossing 2nd wake: 7. Edge Change: 8. Turn In: 9. Apex: Thanks, Matt
