  1. Here's a neat little tool I've used for years for cycling. Its a little torque wrench fixed at 5Nm. Just the perfect torque for slalom fin clamps. It can be found at most bike shops.
  2. Maybe a nice opportunity for a collaboration on a sweet barefoot rig...
  3. Thanks gents. New to adjusting my fin and wanted to make sure I was propper.
  4. After you set your fin and clamp it down, do you leave the set screws in or take them out and put them in the tool bag?
  5. The wide ride has always intrigued me as a ski that would be a hoot to ride.
  6. $990 for the wide ride and they do have a 64", lff, soft in stock (Dave just found it). They are thinking the WR will be a little big for me once I hit 34mph. Hmm...
  7. Hi Gang, Ordered a new Goode 9900SL Wide Ride and they are having trouble finding one in their warehouses. I might have the option of changing my order to a 9900SL Mid Ride. Anybody have any experiences to share on the 9900 wide vs mid ride? I'm 160lbs with my gear on and am skiing at 32mph now and plan on 34mph by the end of this season. Thanks, Matt
  8. Wait till it gets warm? No ice and your wearing short sleeves...
  9. Clay has himself a little piece of waterski heaven there let me tell ya. We've got a course at Bass Lake too. We can all hook up out there for some sets also, like you John you need to be an early riser though.
  10. It took me 18 months to find a boat and that was searching every dealer and website on a regular basis "like every day". Ended up paying top dollar, but got a virtually new boat from an owner who was as much of a nut as me about taking care of his stuff. At the end of the day it was a fraction of the price of a new boat and when I decide to make a move I'll get most if not all of my money out of it.
  11. Thanks. Yep know Cedar Lake well. I'm actually at Bass Lake this week at my family's place. Be passing Cedar on my way home tomorrow:-)
  12. Anybody hear if Goode has something up their sleeve for spring?
  13. @gator1 I feel like I'm stepping in something, but whats a gator tail?
  14. Thats interesting. Love to hear the principals behind that. Anybody?
  15. What are the principals behind a wide ride for an elite skier? Seems like a wide ride would have to much buoyancy for such high speeds.
  16. Hey Gang, Looks like he is skiing on a rebadged XTW? Seems like this ski would be way to wide to ski at the level he skis at. Whats the concept behind the XTW? instagram.com/p/tFyJXYzYc7/ Thanks, Matt
  17. @Mermaid Just returned to skiing from a long absence. Was struggling to make 15 off at 28mph on my 96 concept "sound familiar". Took a recommendation and purchased a Theory and I'm blown away on how nicely the ski works at 28mph. Big confidence booster to get the basics down again and I have a great ski for free skiing when I out grow it. I'm 6' 160lbs and went with a 67".
  18. Both involve decelerating turning and accelerating. I'm just getting back into skiing and am finding it extremely humbling. We have alot in common. This year I ran the Atlantic Championship Series which is revived formula atlantic "pro" racing. Good fun. Been in Atlantics for a number of years now. C-Sports racer before that.
  19. Driving fast is alooot easier than skiing well...just sayin.
