  1. @Dano AWSA has a history of "getting in bed" with a single speed control provider, FIrst Perfect Pass and now ZeroOff. Don't hold your breath.....
  2. @Dano sorry man you have have to explain how you are going to strip hundreds and hundreds of pounds out of a boat to achieve better performance and price advantages? I know that @DW did it but I don't think his carbon fiber adds are going to be cheap. You still need a 19-20' fiberglass reinforced tub, and 6L (or 5.3) Cat Engine. The rest of the weight seems pretty much insignificant. Designing a brand new hull is cost prohibitive, splashing or recycling a proven design is much more likely. I am reminded of the old line. *Quality, Performance, Cost* You can choose any 2.
  3. That's awesome I don't remember seeing it before. I would need a larger/longer short I have a few dozen more items.
  4. I just don't believe the cost of new ski boats is limiting the number of new/aspiring skiers into the sport, yes it would be nice to have a "5 digit" option but it's been tried more than once. Even back in the heyday of direct drives, MC and Malibu offered SportStars and Sporters, and they just didn't sell well enough to last more than a few years.
  5. @MISkier if a lake is only 16' at it's center/deepest spot does it make the bill not enforceable ? 😉
  6. I'll take Vaughn, Burdick, T-Gas, and Asher in the Final Four.
  7. Pretty much anyone that isn't MC, Malibu or SN, Centurion/Supreme. So all the rest of the surf barges. Mercruiser and Marine Power still make inboard engines but mostly for repowers and speciality markets.
  8. Hate to say it but SIA may need to change their security question.
  9. No please do not come here! there are invasive Brazilian Pepper Trees and crazy donkeys surrounding the lake and unless you are careful there could be extreme (Panda like) issues. Perfect conditions and midwestern hospitality cant make up for all those red berries. 😉 Thanks for a great visit Mark!
  10. We look forward to checking it out this Friday!
  11. looks ideal for jumpers riding back down the lake with rope between their legs
  12. Good list @lpskier Jobe was the only one missing from your list I could think of and @503Kento got that one. I am sure there are few very obscure others. I remember "honeycomb" cores had its moment on both the water and the slopes.... (Hexcel, SkiMaster, etc). I am sure @DWhad a pair of Hexcel 'split tails' at one time too!?
  13. The "good old days" when you really could ski the same brand of sticks in summer and winter!
  14. We can usually catch them either live or at the lake on slight delay lucky to have two screens close to the dock
  15. @thager does it talk back to you? Only the really good ones do!
  16. And now O'Brien has taken the Sixam 2 molds and created the new Siege line of skis for "intermediate to advanced skiers"
  17. @The_MS I think you meant to say...... "It has DRIVEN me Nuts" Stay Warm! And on the bright side a quality beer tastes good in any weather.
  18. That is definitely a "it's COLD why did you make me do this Dad" Look!
  19. The Radar is similar with slightly wider bend area but haven't noticed any difference. This one is only offered in a 13"
  20. This is amazing and could easily happen next season. Congratulations to Joel. Is there a good reason it took 3 months to be approved by IWWF?
  21. Related to this subject.... Mostly trying to keep boat floors clean...... Who restricts or allows shoes in boats? Wondering if it varies by state-region-season?
  22. Sorry guys that was my mistake I agree the Sporter is very different and wasn't t a fair comparison. I meant to include a 2000 Response LX near me but its gone now. But I did find the same hull in a 99 close bow that seems like a good deal for a very good boat. Doesn't have the room or open bow of an LXi but I wouldnt turn down a pull behind it. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/7818154728210987/?mibextid=dXMIcH
  23. another LX that seems like a good deal great slalom boat https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/284394380648001/?mibextid=dXMIcH
  24. SeaDek material is proven over the last decade and is cleaned pretty easily with power washing. Love decadence but it does get hot on the feet. Carpet has really seen its days and it gets hot as well. Definitely keep it removable. There are some interesting options in the pontoon world but they would require glue to install like carpet.
