  1. We have been using a rangefinder to drop our 55m balls that stay in all season on our public course, used to use a piece of pre-measured rope but this is quick and easy. Definitely want to put a good sub 3' down to make replacement easier.
  2. I will be at the Masters again this year and hope to see friends on the shore and as well as out on the water. I know that the comptetitors present will be giving it all they got to win and I dont want to disrespect any of them -- I can't ignore this event just because one person isnt there for reasons out of my control and I truly believe those reasons are not black and white.
  3. It was a known issue on the 6L engines in 2019-20. GM apparently got a bad batch of oil pumps from their supplier and I know of a few engines from both PCM and Ilmor that suffered failures, some worse than others. Haven't heard of similar problems since then.
  4. Ordered the new Radar buoys last year and was impressed they held up well on our public water course. Before that had been buying "Extreme Max" brand off of Amazon and liked them as well or better than polyforms. Overtons still sells their buoys and they currently are on sale for $8 which is a good deal, hold up well and have a stronger eyelet they. I am bummed I missed their clearance of the yellow boat-guide 'bullet buoys' at $10 each, they still have green and red in their outlet section. We are using radar/overton yellow buoys for guides, radar greens for the mini course, @RichardDoane s "screaming deal" orange for gates and a set of sofe wally reds for turn balls.
  5. That's a great little boat! I should serve you well.
  6. is the 67" considered the Large?
  7. Sunstream has these which look pretty cool.
  8. Enjoyed watching both events and some great skiing. Big shout out to the Isle of Lake Hancock community, the sponsors and the people behind the scenes there obviously did a lot of work to create a great Saturday afternoon - evening show folding in the Juniors and Show Skiers between events was a fun add. TWBC is starting the season strong with nice rotation on the commentators.
  9. Interestingly 5-7 years ago this did happen and it involved the same skier. I was there, I didn't see FW out of line but I saw him running dripping wet up to the tower to appeal, after 8-10 minutes (which seems like forever). Freddy was granted a re-ride. Maybe this was in his subconscious as it all happened again but the call was made differently this time....... Perhaps it got a little heated and a misunderstanding of procedure and conduct ensued. My question is why this decision wasn't announced 30 - 60 days after the 2022 event? Making the call just as the '23 qualifying events kick off seems completely out of line for a quality event like the Masters. I will be there again this year supporting the sport. Freddy will be missed, we always want the best skiers on the water.
  10. Our dealer is suggesting to replace the in tank filter every year. this is the only screen between the tank and the engine. Surprisingly Ilmor doesnt put a water separating filter in line.
  11. Is @The_MS a new investor in KD Skis?? I thought he only put his $$ into micro breweries!
  12. @Wiltok I can totally relate my friend..... Happy Wife equals better life And she can drive thru the course better than I can! Come on Summer.
  13. Great price and location for the Courtyard. We stayed at the Indigo in Collegetown last December for the SFD tourny. Great hotel and cool area with restaurants, bars and shops.
  14. @aupatkinggood call on the 'delete' button it is a slippery slope and brings back memories of the Nichols board and a cast of characters. 😉 @DW Good Insight for sure, I do honestly believe thru observation and personal experience that training behind a 6L with ZO is beneficial for tournaments, it's cool to see more and more re-powers with both the 6L and even the 6.2. And as mentioned before too many skiers pine for classic bare bone tugs but even when something is available the same skiers turn up their noses.
  15. @blakeyates GAWSF decided to combine their state event with Tennessee.
  16. @ETskierthere was a pickle-fork 197? i totally missed that, And a allowing Correct Craft Inc Another moving part on a slalom boat is AWSA blasphemy!! haha I would just like the HydroGate to not shoot water all over the transom....
  17. Hmmmm Maybe BOS needs to advise the group that designed the boot to stop selling plates that allow the boot to attach directly to their and every other manufaturer skis??
  18. CP Poor interior? Maybe the first couple years? Really hard to complain about a drivers seat with propery placed throttle and an observers bench? Perhaps not enough seadeck! 😂
  19. I think customs still applies even by USMail, we have avoided customs to Canada by actually driving to Windsor, Ontario. About an hr south of us------ and taking a ski to Canadian Post office just a block from from the check point. They shipped the ski to Toronto for about $25 Canadian!
  20. When I installed a New accuski system in 2000 the manual actually suggested driving with two hands lightly on the wheel. (partly because you could shut down the throttle with a tap of the foot) I find myself switching between 1 and 2 hands sometimes because of the boat or skier. I enjoy driving the ProStar more than the Nautiques..... I think because I have spent most of the last 30 years with LH drive boats.
  21. Interestingly from that list above all but MB were manufactured in the Fineline (Centurion) plant for part of their existence. The first 5 years of Tiges were simply Falcon OB or CB with different interiors and paint schemes.
  22. As has been mentioned, in a similar thread, we as tournament skiers should actually feel fortunate that we have had 4 choices in boats for the last decade. (2012-17 MC, SN, Bu and CP---- 2019-23 MC, SN, 200 and Bu) Our Choices could easily be 2 boats. With CC Inc's acquisition of Centurion it made sense to sell two Nautique boats and let the Carbon Pro die so the California plant could focus on big wakes and big profits.
  23. @Wish I am wondering if your reputation preceeded you at Ski Beach.... you were told an hr wait but then ya took pics 4 empty tables and at least 2 empty barstools!?? Hope to see you at the Masters.
  24. Early 2000s is my guess, then they all starting making as many or more VDrives (compared to DDs) and then it just snow-balled by the end of the decade. I think Tige was the last to offer a DD AWSA approved boat (besides the 3) then the Carbon Pro appeared in '11-18'.
  25. @Wishnice job, how did you drive the 4x posts into the ground and how far down do they go? We have a similar set up and also need more-replacement posts. AND we have a pair of Sandhill cranes there hang out and nest in the neighborhood every year, if you meet them on the boardwalk they usually turn around and walk all the back at a leisurely pace instead of flying or hopping off the sides!
