  1. @Horton you're probably right. It was just an idea
  2. For those saying that "other big players have also done bad things," keep in mind that Rodgers simply asked for the ride. It was the judges call to give it to him, and it was the judges call to not give miller the warmup. Whether or not it was fair to miller, if anyone wronged anyone it was probably the judges... at least from what I've gathered
  3. I like to think of it not as loading the line yourself, but setting yourself up to RECEIVE the load. I like to get the most angle I know I can sustain not by cranking the turn (unless I get in a panic of course) but by finishing with my hips and "owning the stack." I then don't actually try to lean any further away from the boat than I already am. I simply try to maintain what I've got. The only time I tend to try to lean HARD is if I've made a stupid mistake and stood up out of the ball or had a loose rope at -32. Then I've only got one more trick up my sleeve and I lean harder than I ever knew I could just to get the width out to the ball, which almost always sends me way down course.
  4. I have NOTHING AGAINST BIG DAWG. It's a great series, and a great thing for the sport. I just think it takes away from the prestige of the Masters.
  5. I hate to say it, and I know many will disagree with me, but I feel like Big Dawg shouldn't be at the Masters. The Masters is about having THE BEST IN THE WORLD compete against each other. Big Dawg is great, and its skiers are great, but if they were the absolute best in the world they wouldn't be skiing Big Dawg, they would be skiing (or be retired depending on age) pro. I feel like having Big Dawg at the Masters might water-down the pro skiing there.
  6. During the middle of the season I can run -28 at 36mph, Mid or early -32. At 34mph I can run deep into -32. If I tried it more at 34mph I could run it. Why no options to for 36?
  7. @BraceMaker‌, is there isn't any slippage with slotted plates (no holes) in the first place, then what would the purpose of the Mikro-Just be? Basically what I'm saying is that with entirely slotted plates you can move the plate around however you want. It looks to me like the Mikro-Just is a tool that allows you to do that, but then secure the plate wherever you put it so that there is no slippage.
  8. Seems like a great idea, but is that little piece of aluminum really strong enough to keep it from slipping at all? Also the screw that goes through the Mikro-Just has significantly less depth into the ski, maybe making it weaker. Also would you really only need one Mikro-Just on each plate or would it make more since to have one on the left and right sides of the plate?
  9. Congrats to him! anyone know his score at -38?
  10. I actually just skied a clinic with Seth Stisher and we worked on getting the hips to move outbound off of the second wake so that the ski comes out from under me. I found that if I transition early, and move through with my hips, the ski is put on a good turning edge. I then can just allow the ski to hook up on its own after I did the work earlier, and I hooked up square to the boat and stacked like I have never been before. I feel like this is what people are trying to achieve with counter-rotation.
  11. I'm a righty, on a good day I can ski into -32
  12. @GOODESkier that would be hilarious. Ski on an 80's ski behind an 80's boat, see who can get the furthest down the rope
  13. @chrisrossi, I am mostly a 28 off skier, 36mph, and the main thing stopping me from running 28 more consistently and running 32 seems to be my transition, particularly going from 1,3,5, to 2,4,6 (rff). I can build angle going into the wakes, and try to begin my release at the centerline, but into the 2,4 buoyline i feel like I am losing massive amounts of angle right off the second wake. I am then forced to ride the ski nearly flat into the buoy and try to slam a turn to get back over to 1,3,5. The problem is there at 22 off, but is less prevalent. At 28, it is a major issue, making the pass difficult. At 32 off it keeps me from making it to 3 ball. How can I get the ski to maintain an arc going outbound from the second wake to the ball going into an onside turn? Perhaps the problem starts before the wakes?
