  1. I agree with @ozski and @RazorRoss3. Both keeping my chest up or "proud" and keeping proper handle control have changed my ability to stay stacked and the speed I carry out of the turn. I used to have a problem with both and after reading advice on this site I have really improved. Can't wait to ski the course this weekend!
  2. If you want to be cool, wear a shirt that says:
  3. I'm also interested in the "shoulders tangent" comment, if it could be expanded upon. Maintaining handle connection after the wake crossing has been my biggest problem, but I tried @Horton's trick of squeezing the handle with the outside hand last week. It really seemed to keep the handle in longer and I was surprised at how much wider I was coming into my turn.
  4. Ha, yeah your probably better off saying how the course seems so much easier with her driving ;)
  5. @blinddog I was using the tube mount, sorry forgot to mention, it was the first thing that popped into my head. I have never used the orbit but the wakeye shock tube mount is pretty slick. I was also looking for a camera mount with a view from directly down the rope and the orbit is offset.
  6. I was always told what @klindy said... Pick up each foot and the one you feel more comfortable on is the one that should be in front. I was told it was about having the foot your most balanced on forward. I never really thought about it until reading this thread but I do everything left foot forward. I am right handed, footed and eye dominant but I think it is more personal preference/comfort than anything. I have never tried RFF but I don't think i would want to at this point.
  7. Awesome, gotta pick up a couple of these. Wish there was a Ball of Spray mug I could get somewhere.
  8. I was using the ski doc for a year and just bought a wakeye with shock tube option and the videos from the wakeye track a lot better and are smoother.
  9. Nice, that happened to me last year with my new syndicate. Had to hide it somewhere I couldn't see it...Didn't help.
  10. A couple wacky moments, actually still made 5 ball on the second pic.
  11. Just stumbled on this thread and thought I'd revive it. Only -15 and not on the course but I love how the sun is lighting the spray. This is my other favorite
  12. Pretty much what @TallSkinnyGuy said, but we don't bundle ours the same. The directions for the E-Z slalom are a little confusing because they group 3 sections by number as well as specific arms by number. So there ends up being 3 sections total and 5 numbered tubes total. Putting a section together on land is definitely the way to go, it helped us a lot! Also trying to keep the course taught as it goes in also helps at the end when setting the last anchor. Honestly I've never given using a pontoon a thought after trying it in the tow boat, Its nice being close to the water on the rear deck when setting the arms down into the water. As for anchors, we use these with 4ft leads and they work perfect in 25ft deep water with muddy bottom. The flukes probably help but we've never had to tighten it. We use it like you will be, only in when in use. Have fun with the course!
  13. @Mark_Matis Yeah I thought about that. I see they have demo bindings for sale but wasn't sure if they would ship them, let me use them and take them back if I didn't like them. Never hurts to ask I guess.
  14. Finally get to run the course this weekend! Have been so busy lately and storms haven't helped. Also, not having access to a permanent course makes it difficult. Gotta start saving the $ to make a back yard that looks like @Horton's :)
  15. Nice! My setup is dual animals on 67". Love the ski, it just suits my style. Have been wanting to try the radar vapor boots but can't find anywhere to demo them.
  16. Googling 'usgear customer service' was actually how I found this website in the first place. It saved me from ordering 2 handles. As for masterline, I purchased my first handle and rope from them last year and love them both and will be only buying masterline from now on! I order everything when my lake is frozen anyway so I don't have to wait and it makes me look forward to the next season even more. :)
  17. I can't believe that first bounce off the water, must have been disorientating!
  18. I asked Chuck how to get better at slalom, he said I need to grow a beard.
  19. @obeienslalom I wouldn't say way worse skiing didn't you see @pacman couldn't even make one wake crossing :D just kidding I was in the boat for that one! What FOV is your GoPro set to? We just got one, a hero 4, and the video comes out with more zoom to start when the FOV is narrow.
  20. Nice, I was on MC boat designer trying to come up with something that looked similar to the 86 coloring but no luck. Waiting for the 86 Throwback...Haha
  21. @Cent sorry for the delay. Also, I didn't want to get a panda for plastering my MC pics all over :D so I put the exterior pics in this thread.
  22. Here's the 86 MasterCraft with my bro @Pacman being nice enough to show it off :)
  23. I've tried a few different handle sizes but prefer smaller diameter. A balance between tearing you hands up and wearing your forearms out all while feeling like I have a solid grip is what I was after. I also wrap my calluses and my fingers between the 1st and 2nd knuckle with waterproof medical tape, then gloves over the top. I'm using ML ergo anti-roll 1" handle right now with radar boa M gloves. Gloves are hard going on when dry. Since I've started that, I can run the course all morning and not have to worry about my grip or strength. Just my 2 cents.
  24. Yep here too, upper Wisconsin and only been out twice. Water is still pretty chili, we could use some warm sunny days. Preferably no wind either!
  25. I never heard of Performance Ski & Surf until joining this website, now I buy everything I can from them. Have never had a bad experience with them, Thanks!!!
