  1. I think maybe @Horton was taking the cover off the Centurion again...
  2. CRAP! I didn't even know I was doing wrong until now! Guess there's another change to be made this year!
  3. Thanks guys. I'm going to give it a shot very soon. I'll post pics in a seperate thread as the build progresses.
  4. I'm considering adding PVC trailer post guides to my boat trailer. The trailer gets lost behind my truck when retrieving boat. My trailer tubing is 2"x4". Any ideas on how I would attach the guide posts to the trailer frame? I was going to use u-bolts but can't quite figure out how to attach one on the top side of the trailer frame and one on the bottom on each side (yes, I need a drawing, sorry). I could always drill through the trailer frame and attach u-bolts that way OR simply drill through the PVC and the frame and attach with stainless steel bolts. Have any of you attempted this project? What worked for you?
  5. Was WAY UP to 230 over the winter, 220 now, 210 by time I get on the water and 200 by the time I go to DFW ski school. Winter, beer, beer munchies and after skiing lake fun all added up last year. Hoping the motivation of entering the course will pay off. Motivation has increased substantially since the sun has reemerged!
  6. Sounds like a serious case of "T.T.W.W.A.D.I syndrome". We've got a serious case of that where I work too. The cure is amazingly simple but apparently very difficult at the same time...
  7. Never been to a tournament. Is it an environment where you could bring a portable grill and make a day of it? Maybe have a specified grilling area (?insurance). Grill, eat, watch the event and ski when it is your turn. Maybe if there were more activities to keep the kids busy such as inflatables/play areas. Just throwing ideas out there. I honestly don't know what the sites are like so just ideas to play with.
  8. I'm going to keep it pretty basic. There is usually plenty of boat traffic around so that would be the best option. I found a really nice tool kit at Lowes for not much $. It's something I could keep in the boat and not have to worry about it.
  9. I guess I'll trade in a .45 or just add another to the collection.
  10. Thanks folks! Luckily I have most of what was mentioned. I've made a list and will be putting it all together before the season. I appreciate the input.
  11. I know not a lot of big repairs can be done on the water. With that in mind, what kind of tools do you keep in the boat? Pliers, needle nose pliers, prop wrench, screwdrivers, fuses, zip ties???? Trying to put something together for the season but not sure what all to include.
  12. Agreed @BRY . Age is only a number for those who wholeheartedly believe it!
  13. Two words: BANANA GEORGE. Looks like he passed away in 2013, RIP George. It says he was still barefooting into his 80's. Looks like we've got lots of years left.
  14. I wish (no pun intended) that I needed that much ski. Oh, and that I was below 200lbs and could use it. Someone is going to get a good deal!
  15. It sounds like you have the opportunity to ski frequently. All I would say is listen to your body. If you are continually tired and sore and not making progress, take a few days off. Your body will let you know how much is too much.
  16. And................it's fuse 73!! I traded it out with the one immediately next to it and voila, it worked! Autozone has them and I'll be picking up a few tomorrow to keep in the truck just in case. @oldjeep and @MISkier , thank you for all of your help and patience. I never did answer the questions above. Lights off, absolutely nothing. Headlights on, only running lights. Once fuse replaced all was good. Thanks again.
  17. I'm going to check later and i'll answer each question above specifically. What I recall is, when I hook up my truck, all of the lights come on but only for the short time period when the auxillary lights are on. Once they "time out", I get nothing. All lights are black, no turn, no brake, no nothing. I don't believe I've tested with headlights on but I will do specified testing as above and report back later. And, as mentioned, when I hook my sons truck up to it, everything works as it should.
  18. I've checked the fuses and they all appear good. However, there are 3 relays; the trailer tow L stop/turn relay, the trailer tow R stop/turn relay and the back up lamps relay. Could these be the culprit? I have no idea how to test. Please assist @oldjeeep and @MISkier or whoever else. The relays are Ford 5L3T-AA if that helps. Are there aftermarkets I could pick up and switch out to see? Thanks gentlemen.
  19. OUCH! I pulled out the manual and made a note of the of fuses that I need to check. Once it warms up tomorrow I'll open the hood and see what might be blown.
  20. Are there an adequate number of sites with multiple lakes in close proximity that could host slalom on one lake and trick/jump on another lake? Would "dedicating" a lake to slalom allow for multiple rounds for everyone while trick/jump do their runs on a separate lake? I'm thinking bringing ALL folks together at these sites would do wonders for the vendors as they could market their goods to all 3 groups. This would likely increase those willing to provide sponsorship. You could throw a party each night or just the final night and have everyone attend. Seriously, Budweiser or coors light, charge $10 for wrist band and they would likely come out ahead (except me, I'd break their bank). Cons: How to help multi-even competitors "make it work", How to schedule FINALS of each event so all multi eventers could participate and all spectators could watch. Heck, I'd watch the finals of all events for the show, even if I had no interest in participating in the sport. Pro's: More sponsors if they see a benefit to marketing to all 3 groups, more participants as they could ski multiple rounds, more attendees as they would have more vendor booths and would be able to watch the best of the best, tournament would take fewer days. Just thoughts from someone who has never attended an event and doesn't known what's available I'll have to rely on you folks for that. Thoughts?
  21. LOL, exactly! It's my first one and may be my last!
  22. Ok, I'll start there and investigate. I've got plenty of time before the boat needs to actually leave storage so it's not something I have to figure out tomorrow. I'll get out the manual and check the appropriate fuses. Thanks for all the ideas folks.
  23. When I pull my dial "out", it turns on the fog lights. If I turn it all the way to the right, I'm pretty sure that's the "auto" setting for the vehicle lights. If you think this will work, I'll surely give it a shot @hitumup59
  24. Will do. I've got a voltage meter somewhere. I may be running back to ask questions on exact usage but I bet with a youtube video of two that I can figure it out. I'll start with the ground though. It's grounded to the frame tubing so I'll start there. Thanks
