  1. She FINALLY skied this past weekend. As mentioned, she LOVES the Lyric. She said, for her level, it's the perfect balance between the P-6 and the Senate. Looks like lot of skiing will be happening this year!
  2. Congrats @dhofert ! Hoping to run my first full pass this year as well! What was a typical pass for you before you went there for a week?
  3. @Chris Rossi and @adamhcaldwell , for those of us that have yet to run the course, would you suggest keeping both hands on the handle at all times? I've had this suggested to me (15 0ff, 26mph) but am not sure if I'm doing myself any justice by adhering to said advice.
  4. Going to put some of this into practice tonight. These threads are so valuable, especially to me as a long line skier. It helps having the experts explain things in various ways, many times one of which clicks in my brain. Looking forward to being on the water tonight!
  5. Asking for a Vari-desk today. I work in a hospital and have quite a few PT contacts as well as a chiropractic contact. So, going down that road. I have already seen some small improvements with the yoga/stretching. Thanks folks
  6. Thanks @sunvalleylaw and the rest. I've started with some basic yoga stretches including the lizard pose for now. I'll keep It up and progress to the pigeon hopefully soon. I hate that I'm getting old enough to have to stretch but glad that I still have the ability to do so!
  7. Thanks @WaterSkier12 . I found some basic yoga stuff for sciatic nerve pain as well. I was amazed how tight my hamstrings are. Well, not really that surprised come to think of it!
  8. @sunvalleylaw , what exercises/moves did you find worked best for the tight hips/sciatic pain? I used to have the exact same symptoms as you when I used to run so have gone away from that. The sciatic issues just came up recently after the start of ski season. I have a desk job pretty much so looking at ways to stay limber. I go to the gym and typically do weights with about 20 minutes of cardio 3x/week. Stretching...Not so much but know it's something I'm going to have to incorporate.
  9. I bought @ThePantsManCan 's 1996 Malibu Echelon. Oil change is due and I am thinking I'll go ahead and replace transmission fluid. I attempted to search the indmar site but it wouldn't load so I need your help. Motor: Monsoon 320 Multi-Port EFI Transmission: Hurth transmission. I think it's the 1:1 as it says A=1 B=1. It's difficult to see but I believe the model number is HSW 150 D Please help me with the proper fluids, filters and capacities. I'd like to change them before I take it out (although they look extremely good as they are now). Is there a fuel separator similar to that on an I/O? If so, let me know so I can replace that as well!

    Boat transport

When I first used u-ship I went the route of entering the shipment details and letting the transport company give their own bids. They were all higher than I wanted to pay. But, there is also an option that shows the typical price for a shipment similar to yours and allows you to set the price you are willing/wanting to pay. I got much better bids that way. Good luck.

    Boat transport

U-Ship! Just had my boat transported from Pennsylvani to Oklahoma, about 1250 miles for just under $1000. Good luck with your shipment
  12. Back in the water this past Saturday. 15 pounds lighter, changed to adjustable fin on my HO TX and first time ever in a drysuit. Wasn't sure what to expect but skied better than last year. Looking forward to a good year.
  13. Go to Amazon and buy the Evercoat Marine Match 'n Patch Gelcoat repair kit. I used that on my old Tahoe and it worked incredibly well. It's got a variety of color tubes in it so you can color the gelcoat however you want to match the boat. I used it for the 1st time on my old Tahoe. I was hesitant/scared at first but it's really a simple process. As mentioned, watch lots of Youtube videos first. Good Luck KIT
  14. I finally have a DD boat and a lake within an hour. However, I do pay a fee for access to a slalom lake since it is only 10 miles from the house which is very valuable during the week.
  15. Easy fix. I found a spring at a local Ace Hardware, cut it to size and reassembled. Handle locks into place just as it should now. I received my new cable pivots today. I'll take on that project once I have a few hours to spare on the weekend. I don't think it will take long just don't want to be rushed.
  16. I've ordered pivots for the cables. Supposedly not a bad idea to replace as the boat is 20 years old. I talked to the gentleman at skiboatpartsonline. He was very helpful but didn't have any leads on replacing the spring or the diamond shaped piece right below the spring. He said now that Morse has been sold, the new company no longer sells the individual parts. If @Jody_Seal or anyone else might have these parts available let me know and I will be glad to purchase them. You can see the throttle assembly in the 1st post. Here is a picture of the spring and the diamond shaped piece I'd like to replace if it's available. Thanks http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b256/gt2003/thumbnail_IMG_39871_zpsbkhm1y8r.jpg
  17. I looked at a early 2000's model Malibu at one of the sites a few years ago. It was about an hour from McKinney. Lake was lined with cattails. Can't remember the name but a great group of guys and they had a club boat. Best of luck finding a site.
  18. I got it when I started running a lot. I tried having the Podiatrist wrap them but that did no good. Instead of messing around with treatments he said often never work and are done many times just to ensure future visits he recommended the injections. I only had to have them once. It sounds horrible but he injected through the side of my heel and it wasn't pleasant but it wasn't horrible either. I've heard BAD stuff about injecting from the bottom of the foot up! Within a couple of days I was back to 100%. He made me some custom inserts that were hugely valuable. If you don't want to go that route try an over the counter insert that gives you arch support. My arch is too high to use superfeet but LOTS of people love them. I have used "sole" inserts and currently use Powerstep Pinnacles. The cool/good/positive thing about the Sole inserts is you can put them in the oven and mold them to your feet. Good luck. This isn't a fun battle. I hope you win it shortly!
  19. I just got my boat delivered a week or so ago, 1996 Malibu Echelon. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT and can't wait to get it on the water. For a 20 plus year old boat, this thing is in GREAT shape. I am going through it fixing a couple of very minor issues. One is the throttle handle doesn't "lock" into the neutral position. I'm sure this is an easy fix. I'm guessing just a spring. Can someone please briefly talk me through the fix? Next thing is the blower comes on when the key is turned on but rocker switch for the blower is off. When the rocker switch is turned to the "on"' position you can hear an obvious increase in power to the blower. After talking with @skihard , the initial though is it could be a faulty rocker switch that is not blocking all the current even in the off position. No testing has been done at this point. Anyone else experience this? Ideas on how to fix? Are these switches available? That's it for now. Thanks in advance.
  20. It may be March but with the drysuit I'm pretty sure I'll get the initial sets in sometime in February
  21. @Horton , can you post a pic or at least tell us what you use to attach the cover to the trailer? Or are the straps included? From the video I got the impression they are not
  22. Thanks @MISkier , I'll look through them. I've heard it's not too difficult. At my level, just having set speed control will be the biggest advantage.
  23. I guess I can say something now since I got the title in the mail today. Thanks @ThePantsManCan! Can't wait to ski it. Anyone have a users guide for Perfect Pass Stargazer??
  24. Maintain the 15-20 pounds I lost in October/November throughout the upcoming ski season.
