  1. Likely ski more. Gas is cheaper, more time at home and will need the distraction.
  2. Great time to travel. Airports are quiet, seats on flights are empty fuel prices are low and going lower and corona beer in one store near me was marked down 40%.
  3. Can’t speak for siphoning or dock fueling with any other non-electric pumps...but with traditional fuel pumps, I’ve had no problem on the three nautiques that I’ve had. I do think you have to get the right combination of using the right nozzle detent, nozzle depth and nozzle angle in the filler receptacle to get gas flowing well. I don’t think my current ProStar or any of the older ones were any different however.
  4. ‘73 Glastron V-178 w/150 Evinrude...old school fun!
  5. I always felt the back seat in the Tri Star 190 was useless...no leg room in the middle of the seat to the back of the engine box and also kinda hard to maneuver around...however you gain an open bow. Like others have suggested, I would opt for the 87-91 ProStar Over the TriStar. Handling, performance, wake...are better. Completely preference on my part.
  6. I had severe symptoms....pain, numbness in the fingers and some dead patches starting to form in my forearms. Since my c5-c6 disk was thinned way down but not bulging or ruptured, I had impingement at the nerve roots heading out to my extremities. I should have gone in sooner in hind sight. Was told no skiing for a year, but Dr gave me the green light at 6 months. That was just over two years ago with fantastic results...but starting to feel some discomfort developing again. I think lower..maybe c6-c7. I was told by my neurosurgeon that a fusion would divert more stress and movement to the other joints. We’ll see what happens in the next couple months.
  7. @david_ski looks like the A-bombs have the foam (buoyant).
  8. Water 51, Air 72 in Raleigh yesterday...but windy
  9. Moved mine on my ‘14. Same response and results.
  10. I still have a copy of the bill of sale on my ‘89 PS 190 bought new in spring of ‘89. $18,453. Good clean used ‘89’s today are bringing 40-50% of that original purchase price I believe. Someone smarter than me can confirm this, but I believe the 50% depreciation/value rule works well for the deal chasers....at that point, your ski boat is close to bottoming.
  11. Trailer mine a lot. 70 miles round trip 2-3 times a week. And 1200 miles round trip once per year in addition. Keep your trailer ball height correct if tandem, watch inflation pressures carefully, carry a spare, keep your highway speeds within tire spec. Jack each wheel up before a long trip and check for bearing noise or end play. Use a tow vehicle that is capable of stopping your load. Never had an issue in 40 years except broke a leaf spring on an ‘89 MC ProStar trailer years ago....that was a my fault. Go for it!
  12. Congrats on a Sublime boat! I’ve been in love with mine since day 1.
  13. Loosing a platform? I’ve never been concerned about this. Sorry for the thread jack.
  14. Not had a glass platform on the new ProStar, but have had them on others. I’m personally glad to be back on the teak platform on my ProStar. The only con I can think of it’s heavier and so harder to handle when folding. I don’t consider the teak maintenance a disadvantage.
  15. Looks like the work of a Purdue engineer :)
  16. Did bu rip off the jump seat design? Looks just like the one I had in my 2003 Nautique 216
  17. @epnault I assume you’re using a later generation model iPhone (6 or newer) with the newer image stabilization s/w that can’t handle the vibration. I’m really intrigued by this MoviePro app....sounds like a winner.
  18. @Spuddy did you get a pic of the ProStar?
  19. Did battle with my ProStar bow cover one day that put me out for a week. Standing in my ProStar bow was lifting the bow cover off in an attempt to lower it over the side to the dock. It slipped out of my grip and landed on my toe. Threw me off balance and fell over into one of the seats and then it came down on my head. But I saved my bow cover, my windshield and my upholstery.
  20. Hey y’all, Christmas around the corner and as usual, I’m challenged...so trying to get a head start. Want to update some of my wife’s gear. What are the ladies wearing? Got any recommendations for an open water lady swerver?
  21. I heard or read somewhere that ski doc was working on dampening their orbit mount possibly making the later iPhones usable...but maybe I’m imagining this. Anyone else know anything?
